I have this number listed on my statement - a charity processing payment center. In my case the charity listed was abbreviated as PPWW (Planned Parenthood Western Washington). If you have something similar with this number listed, you probably authorized a charitable donation.

I had a charge for $100 on my credit card with this number beside it.  I was concerned because of all the talk of fraudulent charges.  I called the number.  They were friendly, professional,
and helped me recall which charity I had donated to.

I donate to Plan Canada every month. It used to come up as "Plan Canada" on my credit card statement, but now it comes up as "888-955-5455". It's the same amount on the same day of the month, and my Plan Canada charge no longer appears, so I think it's safe to assume this is the company who does $$$ collection for Plan (and other charities).
