I keep receiving the same call and now they are calling family members.  I have returned his call.  I find it weird he wants to know my location.  What is this call all about??? Does anyone know?

Caller from local number requesting any info regarding my location - calling old friends and family. Ridiculous!

Called to request my location. Obvious scam. Claimed their name was Roman Brown. Caller ID showed ACM. Told me to call (888) 974-3406 to confirm if I was who they were trying to contact.

Received 2 calls asking to confirm the location of <name> and requesting a callback to 8889743406.  That number appears to be linked to:   "Alliant Capital Management is a professional debt collection agency"

Received a VM from a Gail Robinson 757-330-5242 requesting the location of a person and if she has reached the wrong number to call 888-974-3406 to let her know.

Received call from x number (on my blocked list, so not showing up in my missed calls but still receiving vms) looking for someone named Richard (couldn't catch last name) looking for his location information and gave 888-974-3406 as call back if they got the wrong number. I don't know a Richard and don't plan on calling back. I receive a call like this almost weekly and block the number each time.

Called from local area code. Left message about location information concerning (my former name). At end of voice-mail could hear someone talking in background but couldn't make out what they said but Kyle whatever his last name was, said something about "if so we can split it " then more background talking and then it hangs up

888-974-3406 was the number left on a voicemail with the name Matthew Wood, requesting information on the location of an individual. Individual is known to me, but I'm no snitch. 🤣 Lookup reveals it is a debt collection company.

Now that we have a name for these criminals I can post more information

You will need to send them a certified, return receipt debt validation (by law they have to go back to the original creditor to prove you owe the debt), cease and desist calling, or "not me" letter (this will be the best money that you have ever invested).  Also send it first class mail in case no one will sign for it.  Make a notation of that fact at the bottom of the letter.  You also need to report them to the proper agencies to which I have provided links to.  Then you need to go out and get a consumer lawyer to sue them on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket) and let them pay you for the harassment.  If everyone did these three things, these crooks would be bankrupt, and we would all be the richer for it.  Use these web sites to find an attorney in your state that will probably take the case on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket up front):  http://www.consumeradvocates.org/

It is incumbent upon them under the law to prove that the debt exists and that you owe it, and (this is the important part) that they have the legal right to collect it.  You are not obligated under the law to prove that you don’t owe or that it is paid.  

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter, email, or text (postmarked in the case of a letter) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. Unless they have communicated it to you verbally at the beginning of your conversation. It also must contain the “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes. The one other important thing that this communication must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified. If and when you get that communication you should immediately send that debt validation letter by certified, return receipt mail.

I just got the same phone call. But he is trying to confirm location information about my ex husband with whom I have not had contact since 2009-2010?  Where did they ( the scammers) even find this info?

Calling relatives asking about location of where I am. Is unprofessional and harassing.  Michelle Martin Is name and did not leave company name. Have not heard from these people.

How are they getting old friends information?  I am having the same issue.

How did they get old friends info that I do not even talk to and discuss my personal financial info.
