Rec'd phone call from a Kevin Jensen of Document Services Dispatch advising they are to deliver important documents between certain time the next day and gave the firm that hired them as 888-976-1096 and a case reference number.   No phone number was left for me to ccall Kevin Jensen back - just the firm that hired them to deliver documents - which was that 888-978-1096.   Interesting thing if they had such important documents they would ahve the correct address, etc.!   I waited at home during the time frame the next day as there was no request to call back and was no delivery of important documentation.   I have no clue what the documents would be!

Forgot to mention that the caller was calling from a private number and left no call back number for them! Just the firm that "hired" them which was 888-976-1096.  Strange!!!

I just today 6/30/16 fell prey to whatever this caller(s) are after. The call came in using a local number (707) 509-3817. The caller identified herself as Lucy from DSD also claiming they wanted to schedule a time to deliver these papers.

One would think if in fact these "legal documents" existed,  an unannounced trip to a known address would be the best way to serve and or confirm delivery. To request a call back to set up a time to have these "legal papers" delivered is not ok.

It is my belief that this is an elaborate catfishing operation. Since this contact has become quite involved... I'm making it my personal mission to research, locate, identify, and if necessary cures charges.

If anyone is able to offer any insight to this or assist in exposing a potential criminal ring I welcome you to message/contact me.

I didn't receive a call from this number, but it was from Document Services Dispatch, as well, stating that they wanted to confirm a delivery address to be served for legal documentation.  The number I was called from was 973-240-0426 and they wanted me to call the "Legal Department" at 844-313-5523

I received a call on 3/2 on my landline from an Amber of Document Dispatch saying they were looking for someone wih my last name to serve court order documents. I told her I didn't know who the person is. Two days ago I get 3 voicemails on my cell with the same message. The funny thing is that all the calls show '0' private or unknown, so I don't really know where the calls come from. She left the number 888 294 9238to call back. I don't know if I should call the number to see what it's about, but I'm leary with all the scam calls lately.

This is the 21st Century and no one has any privacy anymore.  It is extremely easy to get the names and phone numbers of relatives, friends, etc.  This is the process server extortion scam.  You can be sure that they have your family member's information.  All they are doing is the following (I would suggest that you have that family member read the following):

One of the tricks they use is to call your family, friends, neighbors and/or places of employment (past or present or both) to create panic and embarrassment so that their intended victim calls them and they can scare that person into paying their extortion money.  They often call people that have never even been associated with you because they get erroneous information off of the internet.

They mention that they have received a Fax document or some sort of complaint and that there is a pending legal matter or action about to filed against you to create the sense of urgency.  They tell you that they are a “process server” and cannot give you the particulars of the case since the file is sealed. This is simply ruse to get you to call another number (often with a made-up case number) where they will ask for money to “make it go away” (this is actually the same place, they work in teams, one pretending to be the server, and the other usually pretends to be a lawyer).  They threaten to serve you at home or at work.  They tell you that if they serve you at work they need a supervisor, security, or HR person there as a witness, hoping that will cause you to panic over the alleged embarrassment of being served at work.  They also tell you that you will need two forms of ID.  None of which is true.  Process servers do not ever call ahead so that you can dodge them.  Process servers get paid to serve papers, nothing else.  They certainly are not going to pass up a paycheck by telling you that you can avoid being served, they are not going to give you an extra day or even a few hours to get a “stop order”.  Court documents are time sensitive and have to be served within a certain amount of time.  Remember that you can always call the local courthouse to see if there is actually a lawsuit that has been filed against you.

It is incumbent upon them under the law to prove that the debt exists and that you owe it, and (this is the important part) that they have the legal right to collect it.  You are not obligated under the law to prove that you don’t owe or that it is paid.

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

First, you should make a complaint at this Federal Agency, and while there you should also read up on how debt collection is supposed to work as well as what your rights in this matter are: https://www.consumerfinance.gov/

Also file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office.

Received restricted phone call and it was for someone with our last name but have no idea of anyone in family by the first name she stated. She said she was calling on behalf of Nationwide Document Services and that they were retained to deliver some legal documents for this person to appear in court to an address they have on file. She said those documents have been rejected and undeliverable. To avoid any further legal complication this person would need to speak with the attorney's office David Hansen, she then recited a phone number to call 877 812 8139 and then she said would need to reference a case number which she recited. Feeling like this is a absolute scam for one thing they don't have a name right except for the last name don't know who the first name is and the call was coming from an unknown number that you cannot see. She also did not say her name. I called the number and they put me on hold immediately without saying anything else and I just hung up

People if you don't recognize a number don't pick up the phone. Anybody that is trying to get your info to send you "legal" documents is bs okay! If there is a firm a real firm that has documents to be delivered to you. They will already know your address. Further more those documents would sent via signature only, or delivered by a sheriff's deputy. So please ignore these heartless scammers and block the number and enjoy your day, knowing that I am sure these people have no mirrors in their homes.
    With love,

This is absolutely some kind of scam.  The contacted my 83 yr old mother w/alzhiemers to report I'm being issued a civil warrant if I don't c b immediatly.  Supposedly Doc. Svs. Dispatch had been hired  Yadda yadda yadda. I call back the number that was left and some rude girl put me on hold told me they would have to get my file. Needless to say I was on hold for 20 minutes and I was supposed to be served last Wednesday.  Once again nothing Happened. I was again contacted today being told that the documents that were placed on ahold Had been served and the case with go on without me. Well let it go on without me because I know that none of this is legit.
1st of all they have a name that I have not had in 15 years and if they were also smart don't you think would be when have the current information at least my name Today I was given another phone number to call backAnd that number went to the resident inn  Reservations. There is definitely something stinkin about this

I am not using my real name btw. I just got a call from a "private number", I didn't answer it because I don't know who it would be, and then they left a vm msg. It sounds all intimidating and everything. Someone from "Document Service Dispatch" saying that they need to hear back from me by the end of the day or they will have to "move forward with the paperwork without compliance on my behalf ". She left a phone number of 844-892-6714.
    What is this crap??!?!
