I received an email from PayPal who said that my "Account successfully linked with PayPal, and it had this number (888-978-0976) listed as the Helpline.  This is Fraud, I did not call the number, and I've never had a PayPal account. OH!  And by the way, they were trying to charge me $929.00 for a pink iPhone.

I received an email with the exact detail you listed.  a Pink Iphone for $929.00 on the exact same day that you received yours.  I also never attempted calling them number.  Interestingly, the email was not directed to my name, but rather a friends name, but with my email address.  That friend is listed in paypal.  I'm curious how they could have accessed that information.
