Caller "Alex Brown" of "America, Inc" or "TimeSoft ,Inc" asked me to turn on my computer so he could assist me debugging  computer problems,

Caller sounded like a teenage Asian.  Probably targeting seniors in Leisure World.  I live in Laguna Hills, CA across from Leisure World in zip code 92653.  Caller mispronounced the word Laguna.

Got a call from someone I could not identify, sounded Indian and I could not understand him, from "Time Soft" saying there was a problem and he wanted me to turn on my pc so he could help me.
I gave him a hard time and he started stammering for words. I said are you sure you don't want my "passwords" while we are at it, and then you'll send me some "e-mail" w/ attachment, and so on.  I asked for his supervisor and he told me he was Doctor Johnson, so I asked for the supervisors first name and he told me Doctor.  I said so his mother named him Doctor??   What a scam, I may have been born at night but it wasn't last night.

Got the same kind of call!  I don't live in Leisure World and my number is unlisted but that doesn't mean anything this day and age.

Hang-up on them.  They are from "Computer Doctor PC" which is a branch of TimeSoft.  It is a classic Computer Tech Support Fraud - they call up and tell you that they have scanned your computer/Wi-Fi port and you have a problem that they can help you with . . . play fast and loose with whether they are "Microsoft certified" or actually work for Microsoft. They attempt to con you into giving them remote access to your computer by telling you that they can tell that there is a problem (virus, Trojan horse, worm, whatever) that they need access to fix. Then, after convincing the generally old or unsophisticated target (in this case my 80 year old mother) that there are serous problems that need fixing, they charge a small fortune (750 dollars) to provide "on-call tech support" and the service of installing "freeware" software (AVG) - which they don't bother telling the recipient they could download themselves for free . . .
