I keep getting calls from this number and they never say what they want me for.  They keep threatening me that if I don't return their call, they will begin calling my neighbors, grocery stores and relatives.  If they would tell me why they are calling, I might return their calls.  They also leave a "Case # XXXXXXXXX" but that doesn't help me know why they are calling!  Should I call them back or just leave it alone.  I'm starting to get scared of them... I'm a senior citizen and this is really working on my nerves and blood pressure......  Anyone know who this could be and are they dangerous?
I can't understand their accent and they talk so fast, but I think they're saying either CRS or JRS Associates (only one call did they mention a company name, all the rest they don't say who they are working for)
I can't answer the question below of the Call Type because they don't really say if they are a debt collector, etc...
    • Caller: CRS Associates or JRS?

Called harrasing a friend for a credit card that she never had.  Rude and threatening.  Wanted to "settle" to avoid the IRS coming after her, what a bullsh*t story, the IRS doesn't collect debts for Credit card companies!.  Called back to their 214-380-2001 (call originally came from this number, 888 number was a call back number) and asked their company name and they hung up.  Cowards like these people need to be held accountable by law enforcement.  Don't fall for scams like this.

I wouldn't worry about it. I have a voicemail from them with different information talking about their attempt to communicate with me via email and then saying they are reporting the issue to a credit bureau. I have no outstanding debts and have received no emails like they described. Therefore, I am certain it is a scam of some kind. Just block their number and don't give them any personal information.

Same as everyone above this comment has stated. I think it is just scammers trying to scare people into giving up vital information and or paying a "settlement" amount to rip unsuspecting people off. Don't answer the call just block the number(s) and let it go to voicemail. Your best defense is to know who you owe and that you haven't fallen behind. Trust me, if you owe a real credit card debt they will hound you before going to an agency lol

Harassment for a supposed debt from 2011 and it’s now 2020? Mediation dept. when I asked who the debtor was they said they own all the banks and loan companies! They refused to give me facts or say the bane of their company. I disputed it all and the rude woman hung up on me 3 times. Reporting to the FTC as a scammer

A robocall from UN-known - debt collection scam - A search shows this number to be a toll free number. They keep calling using a different new number after being told to remove my number from their call list and blocked.
