It's just another one of the "card services" types of scams. They pretend to be associated with your credit card company in order to fool you into giving them your credit card number so they can rip you off. If you gave them your credit card number call your credit card company NOW and report it.

How confident are you? They made it very clear that they are not associated with any of our creditors, and they have lowered some of our APR's by calling the credit cards with me on the other line. They are claiming to be able to extend our 0% introductory rates by having some promotional codes. I am leery and I appreciate your responding, but they have apparently helped us so far.

How SURE are you that they called your real credit card company while you were talking to them? Please tell us that you didn't give out any of your real card number!!!! If you DID, call your credit card companies , and cancel the cards and ask for new ones. CHECK your balances NOW! You may find that your cards are now maxed out!

They probably have FAKE people who pretend to be from CapOne, Visa, MasterCard and all other cards you have!!!! CALL NOW!!!

I hope that Greg in KS has followed the advise that you and I have given, to at least call his credit card companies to see what kind of charges have been put on his cards. Sometimes the ''card services" scammers do call your credit card company and succeed in getting interest rates reduced--something anyone could do for free. The "card services" scammers will put a charge of hundreds or even thousands of dollars on your card for this "service". Most of the time the charges can't be reversed because the scammed person agreed to "employ" the scammers by giving the scammers their credit card number and other associated information. Good luck to anyone who has fallen for this scam, which has been going on for years.
