this number calls me 3-5 times a week and harasses me about a person that i don't know.

They have also been harassing my mother, and it would be wonderful for them to stop, whoever they may be. It's appalling that they're bothering a senior citizen, and proceeding to insult them, because they don't know the person they are calling about. Perhaps they should check the data before proceeding and bothering people. How can this be resolved?

You don't give enough details in your post to comment on.  Are they harassing your mother over an alleged debt?  It's not clear from your comment what's going on here.

These people have been harassing my dad, a senior citizen, for months now alleging that he owes money. When I've called to find out who they are, they'revague and refuse to say who hired them to collect a "debt". The soc. sec. number that they allege is my dad's was NOT, in fact, correct, adn my dad has NO debts to anyone.

We receive calls from this number several times a week. They continue to ask for the same person every time and when we tell them that no one by that name doesn't live here, never has and we don't know who they are, they become rude and insulting. They say things like "yes they do live there", "you do know them", "they gave this as their number" or "how are you related to them?"  If not home they will leave messages on answering machine with  the acct # of the person they're looking for. When you call the number to tell them that they have the wrong household it answers with how you have won a trip and stuff. They can't get it through their heads they have the wrong household. It's obviously a scam, but it's harassing and I want it to stop. I'm at the point of calling the cops and BBB
