Snail mail check I received :This Travel Check Voucher can be redeemed for a certificate for 2 round trip airline tickets to anywhere in the
continental US from any major international US airport. Certain restrictions may apply. Vacation Getaways and
Cruises are available for a limited time. In bold letters the "Award Notification" says We have attempted contacting you on several occasions. (not true). This will be your last chance to respond. The voucher is in the amount of
$1,229.00. On the memo line it says: Must Be Redeemed For Travel Certificate. I started getting these
"Award Notifications" shortly after booking a vacation trip with Apple Vacations. Anybody know what this scam is about?

I got several of these. I do not think it's got anything to do with apple vacations.
I have never booked with them. Just a scam.

Received an Award Notification for $1229.00. How can I verify if this is a scam?

It's an advertisement "sorta scam".
You will be required to sit through high pressure sales for time share, travel clubs, or MLM.
Even if you do not buy into the sales, the "prize" you get will still be next to worthless.
The travel voucher will have so many restrictions, you may never be able to use it or have hidden costs that cause it to be more costly to use than if you just booked the trip yourself.
