This is the phone number to call about suspious activity on your computer has been detected.it is a total scam please be aware...DO NOT CALL.JUST RESTART YOUR COMPUTER

Purports to be Microsoft Certified Technican. Unable to exit the page except through reboot.  A real pain. A ideas on how to block it?

My computer has also been interrupted by a system-error alert instructing me to keep my computer running and contact System Support at 888-980-6329.  Further instructions include possible data loss and system failure if I shut down my computer.

It is a scam.
The scammers make a website or advertisement banner that is set up with malicious code that will prevent a default web browser from being able to close or navigate away from the page, which prompts you to call a number or download a scanner.
All you have to do is shut down the web browser via Task Manager, delete the web browsers cache, and then restart the browser and stay off the in question website.
Also, don't use Internet Explorer or Microsoft's default web browsers, as they are the easiest to catch with this type of scam. Use a web browser or an addon that lets you filter out scripts and ads.
I use FireFox with NoScript and AdBlockPlus.

Same issue - My computer / Window 10 / has also been interrupted by a system-error alert from Window Defender that detected various DLL and Registry errors, instructing me to keep my computer running and to contact System Support / Skype 888-980-6329 Free.  Further instructions included possible data loss and system failure if I shut down my computer. Could only shut down both the blocking alert page and the detailed info error page thru Power shut down.
