It's the bogus "Hello, this is ???(couldn't make out name) calling on behalf of the Florida Troopers."  It sounds like a real person but it is not...it's a digital voice recognizer.  As far as soliciting for state troopers, it's a scam.  The State Police have, in their own words, "nothing to do with this."  These are telemarketers turned telecharity but they keep most of the money.  It's just a big SCAM SCAM.

Called almost 8pm.  no speaking. Buisness hours would be 8am-5pm.  This is bull!

Yeah I heard the whole scam, I told him to send the packet to my work Daytona Beach Police Department 129 Valor Blvd., Daytona Beach, FL 32114 he proceeded to hang up very quickly.......

Junk/Scam - "Florida Trooper & Police Association". Showed from Jacksonville, FL. Would not send anything to my home. Only wanted MC or Visa over the phone. I asked if they were volunteers or a hired fund raiser. They said "Hired". Also, I asked what % actually goes to "Troopers", female "Records Checker" said no less than 10%. Sounded like they were FURTHER than Jacksonville so I said no thanks & terminated.
