- getting tired| 1 replyI want them to stop calling me. They keep saying they are from UnCS or something like that. They treated me by saying that something is going to happen to me. they had my ssn and everything. What do we do it this happens and keeps happening.
- worried sickThese people have been doing the same thing to me, they called me yesterday at work and when I finally hung up on them, they called back to the switchboard and were verbally abusive to my coworker and threatening towards her...She transferred them to her supervisor which has dealt with this before with these same idiots. He has even told me what to say and stood there while I called back. I am terrified I am going to get in trouble at work and they won't stop.
- Jennifer| 1 replySame thing happened to me!! these people have my SSN, my full name, email address...and...they have a bank account # that I had 2 years ago!!! Its so scary! They told me I owed some $2542.00 in a debt from 2007 from a company called "BB Processing", which I have no knowledge of whatsoever. They told me that if I did not pay it, I would go to jail!!!!! I was questioning them, and the guy identified himself as "Officer Mark Johnson", said he was from the United Nations Crime Suspect Divison??? What the crap is that?! He was asking me all sorts of questions like if i've ever been to jail, ever been arrested, ever been involved in fraudlent things... he then proceeded to "conference" in his "attorney general". I put those in quotes because I'm convinced he was full of crap. After the "attorney general" got on the phone, he said I didnt have to pay the $2542, I just had to pay $725 over the phone w/ a credit/debit card, otherwise, I'd be facing jail time. I told them that if this debt was legit, i want something in writing, which of course they refused. By the way, the FDCPA (Fair Debt Collection Practices Act) states that any creditor MUST provide written documentation of debt. So, I ended up telling them that I knew they were a fraud company, and hung up on them. Havent heard anything since, and that was this morning. I guess we'll see if they try to harass me tomorrow.
By the way, the phone number has a (904)area code, which is from Florida. "Officer Mark Johnson" told me he was from the United Nations. How stupid do these people think I am??? Not to mention, he had the strongest, thickest middle-eastern accent (no offense to anyone, just stating a fact). I had a difficult time understanding him...yet he supposedly had one of the most caucasian names in the book?! Seriously??
For my peace of mind, however, I did call the Washington State Attorney General's office and told them what happened. They advised me that I should log onto their website and put a "credit freeze" on my credit report and also report this as identity theft. Also, (I know I dont have any debt in regards to what "Mr. Mark Johnson" was referring to) but if for some reason you get this call, be aware that according to the Wa St Atty Gen office, the United Nations does NOT come after United States citizens for debt, nor would they ask for a credit/debit card over the phone, NOR do you go to jail for debt.- Caller: "United Nations Crime Suspect Division"?
- Jennifer...been thru this... ugh!! replies to getting tiredNothing is going to happen to you... this is not a legitamate collection agency. I called the Washington State Attorney Generals office and gave them what happened, in detail. They said that you can tell them to stop calling you and if they dont, then you will press charges... Also, they suggested that you report this to the FBI because of the fact that they are probably scamming thousands of people for money. I had a similar situation happen to me a few years ago, only then, I wasnt as smart as I am now, and lost about $2500. My advice to you would be to log onto the Attorney General's website from whatever state you are in...click on Consumer Protection, and report identity theft (that is what WA state told me to do), and then also, they told me that you can tell this "agency" that if it is a legit debt, and they refuse to send you paperwork, then they can sue you. She said usually that will make them stop calling. Good luck!
- jle| 3 repliesthese crazy people just called my cousin phone telling them that i stole money from their client and that i listed her down as my sister and that i'm a man and asked her if i still lived at previous address and when she told him that she was not giving him any information he told her that he was going to have her investigated and he was clearly talking with an accent and told her that his name was will smith. - Mia| 2 repliesI received a call from this number today, he said his name was Will Smith and he was from the Law Office of the Federal Bank of Jacksonville Fl. I googled this law office, and it does not exist. He said he had my legal case file, and if I didnt get in touch with him there would be legal consequences and a shocking surprise coming to me. He said I had to hire attorney, and only God could help me now. What the hell is he talking about?? He had my ss#, address and checking account #. Do I need to contact my attorney general, and change my bank account information???
- V. replies to MiaIf these people have that much information on you especially a valid checking account info? you may want to contact the authorities right away and let them know whats happening. It's one thing to collect on a debt, but when there are threats made that another. Just my opinion
- MarcyI had a guy call me from law office of united nations crime suspect division twice yestarday. He stated that I owe a payday loan and that I was going to be charged with four counts of fraud. He had all of personal information including bank accounts and ssn. He had a deep middle eastern accent. I could barely understand him. I keep asking him for proof and he could not give it to me. I had this same situation with american credit services which is another scam. The guy sound the same but used a different name. This time the guy used officer jason williams. That if i didnt pay I would have shocking information to my home, myself, my work or else. He was very threatening. I then started researching this number and found out I wasnt the only one. The guy first called me from 904-425-7345 and then he called me from 714-409-0415. He didnt like it when my husband said the attorney would be contacting him. It was very traumatic for me and I couldnt work the rest of the day because of this. If anyone gets this please contact the credit bureaus, ssn fraud line, your banks and your states attorney general office. I have done all of this and now I just hope he gets caught.

- Amanda replies to jle| 2 repliesI've been recieving calls fro mthese people too. The problem is...I actually DO owe money to a few payday loan companies...which is what they claim to be calling about. BUT, everything seems so fishy. They told me the company wanted to see me behind bars! (for a few hundred dollars? COME ON!)Plus their names are weird made up names that DONT match their accents (Jason William and Travis Griffin??) The number that came up on the caller ID was completely different, area code and all.... My instincts say SCAM. But, they have my social security number, my old checking account info, and tons of other stuff, and like I said....I do owe money to payday loans. Do I pay them?
