Unknown - no message left

Missed call to my cell phone. This information was recorded on another site: "Supposedly told me they were from the Police Alliance...I immediately told them they were calling a cell phone number, how did they get it and to remove me from their data base (02/27/2018)".

Asked for me by name in a robotic fashion. When I questioned if the call was from a live person, not a robot, they said "You know you are talking with a live person. I am just using a computer for quality assurance purposes." Doubtful.

Scam calls - do not bother answering.

Non-profits do not have to follow the do not call rules.

The rule is for charities.  You can have a non profit and not be a charity.  Also, if they are using a third party call center then they are required by law to stop calling when told to do so.  However most do not, simply because there is no way to find out who they are, and the drones working the phone lines really do not care since they are on commission and need to move on to the next call to make their paycheck larger.

Caller asked for Francis. I Said Francis wasn't available. (There is no Francis here- ever.) Caller said she would not leave a message and hung up.

Knew my name (I believe that is public record). Veterans assistance i think he said. Did I want to donate to the cause. Would send me a letter in the mail if I was interested. Said no thanks (no idea if this was real), replied okay thank you,have a nice day and hung up.

Asked for me by my first name. Stated that he was calling in reference to Veterans Assistance. I had to talk over him and said I am a veteran and don't need assistance and thanks for asking. Hung up and blocked number.
