- Report FraudA woman with an Indian accent called yesterday pretending to be a USPS employee stating she had received a request to change our address and it was not properly filled out and wanted to verify that we had filled it out. She had our name, address, & phone number. I told her we did not submit any change of address. She then wanted to verify our information stating she had mail that she needed to send us. I said what mail she stated a welcome package and mail from Wells Fargo... I was already suspicious she was a scammer. I would not provide her any info. I told her I thought she was a scammer trying to pull a fraud. After I got off the phone I called the number back and a prerecorded message stated to state my full name and Google would attempt to connect me. I immediately hung up. Moments later she called back stating she saw she missed my call. I told her I did not believe she was with the USPS and was going to report it. I called the USPS Inspector Generals Office Fraud Division and spoke with an agent who said these people are frauds. They are phishing for info just like I thought. Today I find out that they have enough of my info to try and charge thousands of dollars on one of my credit cards. Then have the audacity to call my home after I’ve already spoken to my actual credit card company who declined the charges and cancelled the card and pretended to be my credit card company. These people are frauds. If they call you.. you better cancel all your cards and notify the credit bureaus to freeze your credit.
