Someone from this number created an account with a victims name with CBS and then stole their bank account information and had electric debits made from that as well.  

If you are getting calls from this number, report them immediately!!

This number was used to set up a pickup of a $49,000.00 truck load of aluminum from a business in Elkhart at which time the truck driver stole the entire load. Please call me at 574-389-4706 if you have any information about the owner of this phone number. It originates out of Millington New Jersey.

I had a wireless cell phone through Verizon.  When I checked my profile on my account, I found someone had put in their own address and this phone number.  I have since cancelled my account with Verizon.  So far, no issues with my bank or other accounts..How can this happen? Sad days, indeed.

My Verizon phone account was hijacked by this number, it was listed as OAS PHONE IN THE BOX Warren NJ, no such company.

This phone number is being used to coordinate sales of stolen property. It is connected with a person in  Florida.  813-247-8583

I just checked my Verizon account and found the same thing happened to me. The spelling of my last name was changed and my phone number was changed to the same 908-607-8422 number you refered to. I called Verizon and was told they had no idea how that could happen (really not good).
This to me was a problem on the part of Verizon as when i tried to edit the number and the spelling of my name i could not so i deleated my online account.

I just spoke to a Verizon rep, because this same thing happened with us...She told me that this is a default address & phone # that Verizon fills in to the contact info when whoever sets up the account does not fill in the account contact screen. She said they use this New Jersey info, or an address in California, or one in Maryland.

I also found this number and New Jersey address on my verizon it was under contact information. Whoever this has also Restricted me me from accessing my online Account .This really makes me mad. Ive contacted Verizon about this and Im waiting to here back from them

OAS  PHONEINTHEBOX is the generic name Verizon Wireless gives to prepaid accounts or new accounts temporarily.  It is the default address & phone # that Verizon fills in to the contact info when whoever sets up the account does not fill in the account contact screen. Address will show up in Warren NJ 07059-6747.
It is confusing but it is legit.

HPD gave me this address as the place of purchase for a phone that was purchased on 8/25/14. The call comes in as a Hawaii number 808 347-4030. Three people on the same street have been threatened by this phone number. How on Earth do we track the actual place of purchase in order to perhaps obtain surveillance tapes of purchaser?

I just received a check from Verizon Wireless premium SMS refund program..
But itshe pay to the order of : OAS phoninthebox with my address...
I'm not sure what to do with it..

1. Verify - WITH VERIZON - that it is legitimate.  They can tell you what to do if it is real.
2. If not, take  the check & envelope to the post office & have it forwarded to the postal inspectors.

I am here to echo the concerns of others.  Logged into online account for first time after years of prepaid verizon use, found this phone # and address plugged into my contact info.  More I've been looking into it lately more my texts are randomly blocked, scrambled, etc.

I have the same thing on my account and now phone is glitchy and way slow like it has a virus. It had the same address also I changed that though what else should I do
