    These calls are from collection agencies, they put your area code in front of the number to make you think it's a local call. Best thing to do is NOT answer ANY call that you don't know.

    SCAM!!  Calls at all times of day/night from Lumberton, NC using 910-816-0623 and 910-816-0616. Female roboMessage says it is Verizon and that it is NOT marketing or sales. Uses bogus name so callee has to go on hold for many, many minutes waiting to correct error, they do not pick up the phone. This is either a large phishing scam or Verizon trying to find legitimate numbers to harass later.
