Its for some free magazine....

Receive about two calls a week. Do not answer the calls. Have no idea show is calling. No message.

We've been receiving this call for months every single day, when we answer the line is dead.  I called back the number and it had an automated voice mail saying to leave your information and they will remove you from their list.   It's related to some publication they want to send you.

they call us quite often too. the line isnt dead.  its waiting to connect.  I assume its an outsourced company. if you wait a few extra seconds, they talk.  its just some solicitor though.  they usually say the names wrong and its sounds like they are reading each word they say from a script.  
I would say block their number.  i doubt they stop if you opt out of the call list as they offer when you call the number back.

Same here- 2-3 times a day they call and no one on the other end. They are calling by business phone and it is quite irritating!

They have called quite a few times. I answered yesterday and they tried to give me a "free subscription" to a publication. It was a woman with an Indian accent that mispronounced my las name. I told them I didn't want it and to not call me again. She was very persistent. I told them I was on the do not call registry and that they weren't supposed to call me. I told them to not call me again and if they did I would submit it to the registry and they would get a fine and I hung up. Well, they called me again today...so I filed a complaint with the registry.

I two get a few of these annoying calls per week to my cell phone. I have left a message to have the number removed but as of yet this has not occurred.

The do not call list is specific to your country only. It does me no good here in Canada

This number has called 3 x already, and does not leave a message.  This number is not on my contact list so I', apprehensive to pick up the call thinking I dont knw what?

Government Executive calling. They don't leave messages. Very aanoying. Free subscription renewal...

They have been calling but NEVER leave a message.  I've blocked them.    I'm not interested in a free subscription as I have enough of them already!!!

This started a few weeks before Christmas as reflected in the messages above.   But, I note that there was a complaint in March 2010, then nothing for 9 months.   They must have gotten a new contract in December 2010 to barrage people with calls.

This is and offer for Computer World Magazine, a free trade magazine subscription. When I said I did not want it the lady became kind of snotty and asked why. I told her that I had enough paper and magazines crossing my desk that I didn't need another trade magazine. I was being polite but she didn't stop she just kept talking so I hung up and she called back within seconds. I of course did not answer.

I received a call from here... in my case it was for renewal to CoGeneration and Onsite-Power-Production Magazine... as others mentioned this may very well be an outsourced call center which operates for several publications..

Government Computing Magazine

I have received a call a day from this number and it is always in the morning.  They never leave a message and I refuse to answer it.  I want them to stop calling me!
