Me too. It came in on my unlisted cell and I don't answer numbers I don't recognize. I intentionally declined to set up a mailbox so no message could be left. Same number has called me at the end or beginning of the month twice before (I owe nobody money) and always at the top of the hour, so I assume it's a robo-dial advertisement.

Got a call didn't leave message.  Do not know anyone in this area.

Looks like another robodialer is making the rounds.   The NCL seems to mean nothing, but they can actually pay a fee to get access to the list.

got a call from this number, didn't know who it was so i didn't answer. caller id info says the caller is from NY but no other info. caller did not leave a voicemail

Didn't recognize the number so I let it go to Voicemail but no message. Don't know anyone from this area but I hate when companies like this get my private number.

I receive calls from these jokers a few times a month. Every time they call, I don't answer because I forget the number they're calling from. I called them back and I get a message saying that my household has been selected to receive two Walmart $25 gift certificates. I have no clue of what their motive is.

I know exactly what their motive is.  Its one of 2 scams.

1)  To get the gift certificates you have to sign up for a buyers club that costs about $50/month.  The club is useless and it takes months for you to cancel the membership.  The membership fees are more than the value of the cards.  This scam is legal.

2)  They ask for your credit card number "for identification".  They then take that number and spend your money.  You never get the gift cards.  This scam is not legal.


Put your phone on the Government DoNotCall list.  https://www.donotcall.gov/default.aspx
Then start reporting all calls like this.  It may not help, but it won't hurt.

if you ever use one of those FREE credit offers on FB games like farmville or backyard monsters etc.. expect lots of txts and calls for survey and gift card scams...
