Called & left mess about gas bill. I live in MI have consumers energy not this crap. & my account has zero balance. Total scam

☎️ This number, having CUST SVC as the caller name, called my fax line this morning and left the following message:

Hello, this is Samuel calling about a recent notification on your Consumers Gas Bill. Please give me a call back immediately with a recent statement received by mail at 888-821-8061.

I don't handle the utility payments, and I'm pretty sure Consumers wouldn't be using out of state numbers to call its customers. This looks like someone calling randomly across the US using various utility ames in hopes of phishing information.

Fake/scam

We got a call from this number today at 11:57 am. The caller ID was SPAM? CUST SVC, and it was blocked by our call blocker. Adding SPAM? to the caller ID is a feature introduced by Verizon last year. Due to numerous other such calls, all from area code 914 are blocked. A call blocker is well worth the cost to avoid these nuisances.
