Does your phone have a blocking capability ?  Could you tell us a bit more about the  "subscription" call?  Does the company have a name?

Okay people, here is what you do. Most phone services offer a call forewarding feature for individual specific numbers. Simply look up how to do this with your phone service provider and then set this number to be forewarded to your local police department. Once they get enough of these calls they will enlist resources to identify these hacks and shut them dowm. Its that simple

Magazine subscription seller.  Had info from my wife's "New York Magazine" subscription.  Offered low renewal rate, told 'em no thanks.  We'll see if they continue to call.

This number has called me 4 times in the past 3 hours.  I never answer.  Caller does not leave message on answering machine.  Caller ID says Sacramento, CA. I live in another state.  Very annoying.

I've been getting multiple calls from this number everyday.  I let it go to voicemail and no message left. I filed a complaint with the Do Not Call List today so hopefully this will stop.

Has called 2x today, and yesterday 3x, day after day they call! Last night my wife talked with one of there callers. Caller said they were TV Guide, and wanted to know if we were receiving them? Wife said no we don't get said  subscription. And was HUNG Up on! Today's first call I answered, and was asked the same question my wife got yesterday, as to receiving the TV Guide? Said we don't get the TVG, and he hung up! Then I answered there 2nd. Call, as asked yep.... That same question! I said you folks called last night and 15 minutes ago. And we, AND WITH THAT SAID HE HUNG UP‼️  So I've had enough, of there BS. YOU?

Number keeps calling me but won't leave a message. Now that I've seen all the comments I am going to block the number. Thanks for the info!

Don't know what it is. Cell phone keeps blocking it.

I have received 3 calls from 916-249-0512 in 20 min. No message left. I have been on the do not call list for 8 months.

Received several calls from this number, no message. Will block.

Claimed to be from Family Circle magazine about a renewal.

Recently, I've been getting 5, or more, calls a day from this number.  My caller id says "California Call."  Seems like these new calls always start shortly after I subscribe to a magazine, or a on-line newsletter.  I don't answer these calls.  Usually they will stop after several weeks.

it's only 10:30 in the morning and they already called 3 times.  i blocked there number a few days ago.... can i sue for harassment!

Countless calls from this number. Tired of checking voice mail. No message to hear. Now, I answer and hang up immediately. Bothersome.

I continue to receive calls from this #...so far 4 times today. I do not accept calls from nimbers I don't have stored as a contact. A message has not been left so if no message it's not important. Totally annoying.

11-22-16 @ 4:25 PM - 916-249-0512 - UNKNOWN NAME// This phone number keeps calling 2-3X per day, every other day or so asking for wife by first name.  When I asked who was calling, he said his name and that he was calling from GUIDEPOSTS magazine!  Gave wife the phone and then she told him she'd already sent in her payment over a week ago.  He then hung up.  I do not believe this is the phone number for GUIDEPOSTS based on blogs I've been reading.  Checked our billing statement from Guideposts, and it didn't have a phone number printed on them.  Internet search reveals this call coming out of California.  Guideposts is from Tennessee!! I believe this phone number is a SCAM!!!!!!  If they call anymore then I'll be using my # key to start beeping them until they hang up.  (Works every time!!)

Called three times today within 2 hours; never left a message.  Somehow we have to be able to STOP these nuisance calls!

Re: Fix It's idea (above, dated Nov. 1)  Forwarding nuisance calls to the local police station is NOT a good idea!  I can't imagine that small town local departments have the means to put a stop to this type of phone call.  And not everyone has a 'call blocking' feature on their phone.
