916-469-6594

Someone from this phone number (916-469-6594) left two messages on my answering today (October 27, 2014) that were blatantly criminal in nature. They make the fraudulent claim that if I do not return their call I will be guilty of a "Federal criminal offense." Rather than call these con artists back, I am reporting them to the Attorney General's Office of my state and the state of California.

This is hilarious, we have called them back 5 times in a row and harrassed them, asking for their address ect and they hung up everytime. Even better, they had the gall to call again so we picked up saying we were the local police department and they hung up without a word. Definitely report them to the REAL IRS/ Department of Treasury; this can be done at http://www.treasury.gov/tigta/contact_report_scam_ok.shtml .

I too received this phone call today.  I am sure the US govt hasn't defaulted to hiring people that can butcher the English language so badly.  This was my first clue it was a scam.  

I received 2 messages on Friday (10/24/14) and two today 10/27/14.  This is a scam.  The real IRS sends you a letter if there is a discrepancy.  The messages I got from these weasels state that I should call them so they can "help me".  Ummm, I don't think so.  This make me angry that some people won't know the difference and call them back, then be scammed by these people because they may be scared of committing a "federal offense".  I am also taking this to the Attorney General and the Stat of California.

Yap, got the same double call from this WAIST OF A HUMAN, with the same message as all of you.  I am going to report as well.

I am getting the same message, twice on 10/26 (a Sunday) and three times on 10/27.  Mostly unintelligible voice in same recording every time.  If it continues I will report it.

Called me three times today (Oct. 27) with an obvious pre-recorded message. The guy could barely speak English and I had to listen about five times to the message before I could even make out half of what was said. If you are going to scam people at least be somewhat smart about it idiot!!! I read that you are not supposed to call back these kind of numbers as they can charge you money just by answering your call somehow.

Indian sounding man left 3 messages on my phone today.  He claims to be from the US Treasury and threatens me of criminal action if I did not respond to him.  Claims his name is Steve Martin and that I will be brought before a US Court Magistrate if I ignore him.  Tells me to let him help me.  Right he would like to help himself to my bank account if I was stupid enough to return his call.  He left the same message last week two times as well with a totally different number and area code.  He is clearly part of some scam.  

This idiot called me twice today (October 28). He also called me twice yesterday. It's the same exact recording each time. The idiot says he's "Steve Martin." Today he called from a different phone number than yesterday. Yesterday he called from (916) 469-6594. Today he called from (650) 739-8031.

I got a call from 9164696594 on my home phone 3 times in the past 2 weeks. It was a threatening message saying to call back or I could be in trouble.

We got 2 voice mails from 916-469-6594 stating he is Steve Martin and was Enforcement Actions executed by US Treasury to avoid an initial appearance before a registered judge or blind jury for a federal criminal . Call me to help us to help you.

I did return their call and advised them that the my local police department was being made aware of these calls and the next thing I heard was the dial tone.
