Scam -says they're a tax agency...

Scam, recorded message about legal case against you

They called and left a message. it said "Attempt to avoid in the show appearance before a magistrate judge or exempt jury a federal criminal offense which is against your name. Your case number is 5365146 contact the tax at 919-689-5755. We would be glad to help you."  This is obviously a fraud,  please don't give way any information. Name, number, address, nothing PLEASE!!!!

Said it was about tax evasion and if I ignored it, it would be a federal criminal offense.  When I tried to call back, it said "call rejected."

I got this exact message 8/16/2019 @ 2:34PM with a different case number (#cp94721). Yes - it is a scam. Report your experience to the FTC online or by calling 1-888-382-1222.

I just got a call from that number, I let my voicemail answer it...I called it back and some Hindu voice answered...I didn't say anything. Who ever it was hung up, figured it was a scam.

I was given the exact same case # @4:35pm

I got the same exact message with the same exact case number. I figured it was a scam. They left a message at 3:47pm today.

That is MY case number, that can not be yours!  lol  Got a phone call Friday 8/15/2019 at 7:00pm, same message as yours.  Really?..like the IRS works evenings.

I just decided to look this one up today because I'm getting daily scam VM about another scam saying they are the social security administration and my SSN has been suspended due to suspicious activity.
