Asked for person by name, when said unavailable, hung up on me.  No identification.

Caller said his name was Steve Vrinker from Direct Surety.  Sounded very shady.

Caller said she was from bids and bonds. Clearly spam.

Caller laughed and hung up.

called our business asking about bonds.  Not sure what that is, but I wasn't interested.  Caller ID was California

Just got a call into our SE Wisconsin Civil Engineering firm..."Tiara" asked for someone who works with bonds...While we do work on some projects that involve bonds, and legit caller would have a contact name, or at the very least, be able to offer up some details about a specific project that involved a bond.  Knew it was a scam from the start, but would not put her through or offer her any company info.  I asked for a call back number and she provided 925-732-4675.

Ugh...They called us again just moments ago (12:24pm 4/16/2015).  Wanted to give us information on their process.  Had no contact name; I did not put this guy through to anyone...He left me this call-back number.

lady called about Bonding, would not give address and main phone number to Direct Surety.   Claims Corporate does not want that information given out.  Kept insisting about emailing us information about their Company.  I asked perfectly good bonding type questions, lady could not answer anything.

Called with no contact name. I asked to be removed to from their call list.

They asked for owner by first name only (unprofessional) but did state they were calling from Direct Surety.  Asked what it was in reference to - they said bonding.  So I helpfully referred them to our fake employee's voicemail for telemarketers.

Called again, identified themselves & asked for person in charge of surety bonds.  I helpfully transferred them again to our fake employee.

Message from Steve Brinker. Hi good morning Anthony this is Steve Brinker. I'm trying to reach in regards to my roofing company for projects in regards to Public Works. You can give me a call back at 925-732-4675. Again this is Steve Brinker. Thanks so much.

New strategy. I ask for name, company name and phone number and ask them to hold. Look online for all your comments and then said "no one is available right now to speak with you but if there is an interest you will get a call back, if you do not get a call back then there is no interest and please do not call back" - that way when they call again, I report the number on "Do no call" complaint form and say that Yes we asked them not to call.
I'm reporting almost every unsolicited robot and live call on the Do Not Call Registry. Now I'm also asking for acknowledgement and feedback on my numerous complaints.
EVERYONE MUST FILE COMPLAINTS ON THESE COMPANIES - write as much information as you have and say "unknown" or leave blank. The only thing you really need is the phone number. I also do the same for the unsolicited faxes that cost paper for services we don't ask for and / or don't want.

"Tiara" with Direct Surety asked for our company President by first name. (Public info, I'm sure.)

She said it was regarding "surety bonds." I took the number, since the caller ID said "Texas" and we do have a job coming up there. I am looking up the number here before I give it to the boss - I'll let him know it was a spammer.

Called did not leave message

Direct Surety called our SE Wisconsin Civil Engineering firm several times back in April of 2015 (see notes above).  Just called again (8:16am 12/10/15)..."Monique" asked for someone who works with bids and bonds...I gave her no information and asked for a call back number.  She provided 925-732-4675.

Called looking for Owner of Business - wanting to see if we would like to work with them on construction projects.  Left no name.
