This is one of more then a dozen numbers from the same area code and prefix that I received on my cell phones caller ID that never left a message and generally would not talk when I answered.

The phone number is from Washington Mutual Credit Cards, usually trying to verify purchases or collect owed moneys.

I have no accounts with Washington Mutual; actually I only have one debit card from my credit union . . and they are not my Mortgage holder.

This number as well as others coming from this area code are calling 5 to 6 times per day.  They are very annoying!  I think they are somehow tied in with Washington Mutual, you know, the bank that stuffs it up your, you know what, with their high interest rates!!!!

Washington Mutual used to be the mortgager holder of our home, but we paid them off; so, I do not know why they would call us.

I just posted a comment a few second ago and should have mentioned all the other extensions that have been used with the 925-738 prefixes. They are as follows:

Each one of these calls, when I answered the phone, had no one on the line; likewise the answering machine.

this 925 738 0254 0266 and 0261 have called me as of 830am 1145am 445pm today not leaving a message i don't answer numbers i dont know so if they want something they should say something

Known Problem Numbers of Telemarketers Collection Agencies and Unidentified Sources, with a bunch of numbers including the mentioned number and the other number called to my phone (925-738-0254), my husband answered the first number and a young adult girl asked to speak to my daughter or so my husband thought, but pronounced her name wrong, she would not say who she was, but said it was a personal manner. When my husband asked who she was she would not say and then hung up on him. My daughter has excellent credit, so I would not know why anyone would be calling her for that. It may be a trick to get us to call back and be charged like a 900 number or trying to get her personal information like another web-page said based on this these two numbers.

Whitepage.com came up with these locations to the number - but remember numbers can be re-routed to look like they are from one location and really located in another, even out of country.

I tried looking up the phone number in relationship to a business, but nothing came up, however, it did come up as residential phone call in the white pages. It is listed as a private number and can be bought to find out who it is, which I did not do…

The only two collection agencies that came up in the yellow pages for "Pleasanton, CA" were -
Ltd. and Associates at 6210 Stoneridge Mall Rd, Pleasanton, CA 94588 (925-598-0056)AND Transworld Systems at 5976 W Las Positas Blvd Ste 208, Pleasanton, CA 94588 (925-251-0456)
When doing a search for the zip code near the location it said the numbers were from (1st street or Main) it came up as "94566" zip code

*** Washington Mutual – Does not have any numbers listed as the above mentioned, nor do they have any type branch office located in Pleasanton, California. This is in reference to the person who posted about the number 925-738-0266 at least not listed on any online yellow pages I looked into…

This number calls me 5x a day.  No msg...no ID.  Very annoying.  If this is Wamu, they'll be in trouble.  I already have a pymt. agreement in place w/ them and this would be harrasment.

The number (925) 738-0266 has been calling me continuously for the past several days.  They never leave a message. I don't have credit problems.  How do we get them to stop the harrassment?

I get calls from (925) 738-0266 also, and when I answer no one says anything, and when I let the answering machine picks up no message is left.

I'm fed up with this crap and won't take it. I called the number today from my cell phone, with my number blocked. It took a couple of minutes to work around their automated system but I did get a 'live' person to speak with.

I told the woman that I've been getting calls from the number I reached her through and what happens when I do. I asked her why it is no one ever speaks when I answer or leaves a message, and she wanted to know (of course) if I have an account with them. I said 'no'. She wanted to know my name and I told her it is none of their business. She said she needed to know so she could determine if I have an account with them. I told her that I'd just told her I don't, and I told her that I'd also just given her my telephone number, which is all she does need. I told her that I consider these kinds of phone calls harassment and that if I get any more of them I'm going to give their phone number to the telephone company and pursue charges of harassment against Washington Mutual. She was quiet for a couple of seconds and then began saying she'd pass the information on to... at which point I interrupted her by saying "You do that" and hung up.

I do indeed consider this kind of crap harassment and have no intention what ever of continuing to take it. Either speak when I answer the phone, or stop calling when I tell you to, or take the consequences.

Our daughter was just returned home from an extensive stay in the Veteran’s Hospital where she had been admitted as a double amputee from injuries sustained in Iraq. We installed a phone at her bed side and no more than a few minutes after it was activated, these washington mutual terrorist started terrorizing her. I got on the phone after around the 10th act of terrorism against her and told them that the person they were on a blood hunt for did not live at that address and that this phone was a new phone put in for a severely wounded Iraq veteran. The washington mutual terrorist replied that our “War Mongering Daughter” should have died over there and then hung up on me. We are now up to over 30 washington mutual terrorist actions against our daughter and guess we will have to have the number changed tomorrow. There is no use in reporting this to the FTC or any of our Godless politicians because we must remember who took our hard earned tax money and fed it back to these terrorists under cover of a bail out. No one is out for the victims of washington mutual terrorism except other victims. We are in this alone.
