My wife took a call from someone reminding her of a scheduled date for a court hearing.  After she said she knew nothing about it they asked for her name and social security number.  Unfortunately she gave them both.  It was definitely a scam

This is a scam.  My phone number was called but they left no message. I looked up the number through white pages.  Don't call this number back because then you're in there system for redial and don't give out any personal information.

No it's not a scam, it's the reminder system from the Social Security Administration reminding you that you have a phone interveiw for your disabilityor Social Secirity Hearing.. I thought it was a scam to but knew no one had my number that shouldn't so I checked here to see if I could see who called then I forgot they left a message and sure enough that's who it was.. SSA. So there's you answer..

Yep! it is social security!  Nice of them to give a reminder call.

Called to remind me of SS appointment next day. ID said American Voice so I didn’t answer. If indeed a SS service, it should with ID that way it SS should notify at making appointment that this company will call with reminder.

Thanks cause I did have a phone interview the next day.
