It was a recorded call from the “IRS” telling us that this is our “final notice” and last chase to clear up our tax fraud case. They have been trying to contact us for 6 months (this is the first call) and our avoidance is now considered purposeful fraud and charges are being filed against us. We are to call this number or our case will be downloaded to the court system.

Called claiming to be IRS but I have zero issues so clearly a scam

Exact same recorded message as reported by Danielle above. Message started already in progress, so the caller was never identified. If, as the other comments have mentioned, it was supposed to be the IRS, I’m sure it is a scam.

Was called by this number, and told that I'm connected to terrous, and have made an illegal investment, that is a federal offense! Called my cellular provider, they said it to be a hoakx!

What happened to Danielle on top is the same thing that happened to me. I called back and it sounded like an Indio o Arab man talking back to me, in the background it sounded like a place of business, very noisy and phones ringing. I just told him I had the wrong number, then he tried getting my name and trying to keep me on. I hung up. Be careful and thank you to all who have made reports. I am grateful and so are many others.

Called and said they were the IRS and then threatened to have me put in jail in less than 45 mins for fraud and terror. I have no tax issues whatsoever seriously a scam!

I called this number after missing the call...A Middle Eastern accent answered the phone: "IRS."
That was funny to me right away.  This guy gave me his "name, and badge ID" and a "case #" and told me I was just over $13k in debt and they were going to freeze my bank accounts, and put a lien on my home. I kept telling him I have done nothing wrong . He said did you do this involuntary? I said again, I have done nothing wrong...He got SO mad and started screaming "I do not have time to listen to you do this!!" I said put your manager on!! At that point j was getting another call from 202-846-4833 which came up Washington DC...and he said you need to answer his call or I will have someone at your address tomorrow to take you to jail and hold you for 90 days!
So, anyways...TOTAL SCAM!!

IRS only notifies by mail.  They do not call.

Scam from IRS. The IRS will not call you unless you ask them to, and even then, they usually won’t. They ALWAYS contact you first through the mail.
