"Curt" left a message at my business at 7:35 PM pretending he needed to speak to the owner about a new job, and it was important!!  If it was important, they can call during business hours.  As it turns out, he's Google Marketing / SEO marketer.  I won't be returning his call.

Called at 7PM on a Friday night looking to talk to the owner about some "new business". Left this as a callback number, but called from 949-478-6861. Didn't return the call based on other notes on this and the other thread...

Same as above, got a call at 7:45 asking for the owner to call back. Left 949-478-6826 but call was received from 949-478-6861

I am pretty sure this is not actually the real google.com related.  These are scammers that use the terminology "google listings" as a front.  They call our office from various fake caller IDs several times per day.  Every day, all year long.  We never talk to them but they keep calling.

Our Business had a voicemail from a man saying he needed to talk to the owner about "New Business" at 8:00 p.m. Called the number back at 8:00 a.m. and was put into a generic voicemail. I read the comments here and can tell you that unless you are doing Millions of dollars a year in business on Google you will never receive a call from Google. We use a marketing firm and they have advised of this and to just hang up and not give anyone who says they are with Google any information.

Got this message at 7:30 - Hi, my name is Kurt. I need to talk to the owner about some new work, please call me at 949 478 6826. 949 478 6826 it's important.

I had the exact same voicemail as "talkinggoat". When I was new I called several of these back before I learned better. They are usually trying to sell us leads for new business. I shut them down by letting them know that we constantly turn down bid invitations due to our overloaded schedule and that almost always stops them dead. You can't sell leads to someone who already has a plethora of work.

Received a voicemail message from this "Kurt", once again at 7:30 PM.....saying he wanted to talk to owner about NEW work.  Now, wouldn't you call during business hours or would you not describe your project...what a joker he is....I will have him blocked in our phone system for future calls from both of the above noted phone numbers...

Yes received the same call 7:30 on a Thursday. First thing is he sounds very rude. And second since he left a message for the owner tells me he don't he have a clue who he is calling.

Rec'd junk call from 949-478-6861, at 7:20pm - we never answer unknowns. Reverse Lookup provided landline Newport Beach, CA. A minute later he then called from 949-478-6814.

“Yeah, this is Kurt, ah-hem, this is a call for the owner, I wanna to talk to him about some new work. Have the owner call me at 949-478-6826.” – He sounded half in the bottle at the time.

Oh, and the best part? This is a payphone in the main hallway of our very old multi-apartment, here in Queens that we decided to retain, and keep going for kicks. Being the manager at the local Culver's sure wonder what work he'd be talking about? (Stay tuned.)
