Call is ONLY for the business owner and claims our website isn't working on smart phones and to call immediately to get this remedied. This is completely bogus of course and a silly way to phish for business.

Just got the same message but you forgot to mention his name is Kurt

Just called our business line -- at 7:07PM! I'm here working late on a project; glad I let it go to voice mail, where it left a 19 second blank recording...

Calls consistently late at night, i.e., 7:14PM, and later. From 2 ph #'s:  949-478-6861, and 949-478-6814. So block both.

Illegal robo-call for a Google listing "scam" this is a scammer!!

This is a SCAMMER….these people are telemarketers trying to scam you, they are NOT Google. Do NOT press any buttons, just hang up & BLOCK them. Google will not: 1)Place automated sales calls 2)Ask you to update your front-page listing or claim your free website 3)Ask you to pay to be included in Google Search or Google My Business ALSO NOTE The only reason the REAL Google would be calling you is if YOU called or contacted them first & they will supply you with a PIN Code!

Get these kind of calls a lot at work, too. I usually hang up but from time to time, I'll press 1 to speak to a rep than immediately put them on hold as soon as I hear a voice and leave them there until they hang up. Just returning the favor...

rec'd a call from kurt wanting to talk to the owner for some business around 7pm

Kurt just called me at 7pm saying he had a job for me. Left message and asked that the business owner call him back immediately. Trolling scams are bad enough. Telling people you want to hire them for a job so that they will call you back and you can try to sell them something is mean.

Called at 7PM on a Friday and left a message for the owner to call back about "new business". Based on the other notes here, did not return the call...

Called last night after 7pm and left no message. Caller id shows Unknown. Scammer.

"Kurt" quickly said that he wanted the owner to call him right back concerning work (we are electricians) but when I interjected offering to connect him, it became clear that it was a recording that did not stop talking. DO NOT CALL BACK. I just read a list of suspicious numbers originating in the Caribbean that charge high fees to your phone if you call back. Last year it happened to us and we had to spend time  on the phone with Verizon to remove the $15 charge. Verizon didn't want to remove the charge because we DID make the call.I reminded them that a scam came through their phone system and a charge was automatically assessed to our phone account just by calling back. It was distasteful. Stay safe and alert.

Kurt just called and left a message saying he had some work and wanted the business owner to call him.  Gave the number 949-478-6826 to return the call.

Same call at 8:09 pm! From Kurt to the business owner. BLOCK!

Call at 8 o'clock Friday night.

"Bob" left message wanting to talk to owner about new business.  Just another scammer. Go get a REAL job Bob!

As with the others, but one better:

Rec'd junk call from 949-478-6861, at 7:20pm - we never answer unknowns. Reverse Lookup provided landline Newport Beach, CA. A minute later he then called from 949-478-6814.

“Yeah, this is Kurt, ah-hem, this is a call for the owner, I wanna to talk to him about some new work. Have the owner call me at 949-478-6826.” – He sounded half in the bottle at the time.

Oh, and the best part? This is a payphone in the main hallway of our very old multi-apartment, here in Queens that we decided to retain, and keep going for kicks. Being the manager at the local Culver's sure wonder what work he'd be talking about? (Stay tuned.)
