"Sarah Reid from Document Courier services". Voicemail left saying there was a court action against me. I called back, when i invited them to explain the issue she got combative and aggressive stating they would " send the court paperwork." Its a scam Probably from the stolen data acquired in the Experian Hack.

Got a suspicious scam call first from a lady saying she is a courier for Travis County Courier Services and asked for me by my maiden name, and I have been married 13 years. I had been getting scam calls all morning. She wanted to know if I was going to be home so she could deliver legal papers for a lawsuit. When I questioned her it sounded like a scam she got made and said I needed to call a number and she gave me a "case number."

I called and was told a name I didn't know. She got rude and line went dead.

I called that number back  (one above) and someone came on the line that I was being sued in JP or Travis County court for a Bank of America closed checking account and I owe $500+.  (Note: I have been victim of identity theft and I was trying to ascertain if this is just another fraudulent action.)
I did a Google search and asked where they were, address, I needed validity of the debt etc. I asked if they were LCS Financial Group which does recovery for financial institutions but has shady and illegal actions.

I told them I was in the middle of filing bankruptcy and they are not supposed to be contacting me. I gave them my lawyers info. I also asked for their company info. They said they are not on the internet as they are private but I would know when I got served. I told them I know how the scam works and I had a right to know the validity of the debt. As a victim of identity theft it's hard to separate the real from fraud.

The most interesting thing is I am part of a class action suit against Bank of America for excessive overdraft fees which they are settling. My account was with BO A over 10 + years ago.

This first the exact protocol LCS Financial Group does and there are  many consumer complaints.
They were belligerent and just changing their story. They will harass u and ur job and relatives to extract money from you.

Did you ever hear from them again? Or get served? I got the same call the other day.

Said they were suing me in court and I needed to call to settle outside of court
