Called my cellphone; do not answer unfamiliar numbers.  They did not leave a message.

I answered (949)531-6378 and the guy told me he was from Direct TV doing a courtesy call, didn't tell me what it was about and said they would call back another time?? Seemed weird, why would they do a courtesy call?

Same with me, he said they were offering me STARZ for free for 3mo. I actually used to work for AT&T which owns DirecTV and they would never do this, let alone call from a non 1-800 number. I was informed by AT&T recently that my online account was compromised. I’m guessing I was targeted because they had accessed my account and seen that I don’t get STARZ... I don’t know what the end game is though? To voice record me saying “yes” or if they were going to ask for more info from me at the end. I just hung up.

its a scam to take your hard earned money using directv as a ploy- don't answer!

This number showed up as Sidney Wragge pn caller ID.  They didn't leave a message.  I'm sure it was telemarketer.  I do have DirecTV like others so guess there's a connection.
