Woman called with lots of noise in the background.

Got a call from this number on my cell a few minutes ago. I don't answer calls I do not recognize. No voice mail has been left.

Call at 8:29 pm, said hello about 10 times, then click!

starting 24 hours ago I've gotten about 30 phone calls from 29 different numbers all leaving 2-3 minute blank voicemail messages.  this was one of the #'s.  I use verizon wireless.

This number called my cell about 35 minutes ago. There was no one on the other line after I answered. I hung up and called back immediately to see if it was affiliated with a company or person and it said the number was disconnected. I called back a few minutes later and it still said it was disconnected. I've registered with the Do Not Call registry and if they call back ever again, I will report them. Very bizarre. How can a call come through and then a few seconds later be disconnected..???!
