they call with some bizarre message about having some "bad news" for me,that I have "legal judgements pending" and I have i until tomorrow morning to give them my banking information so they can debit the required amount.....blah, blah, blah

they called and said that they have some bad news for me.....I have legal judgements and they are going to file charges if I dont come up with some type of money by the end of today, if I dont they will file charges and have me arrested...szcared me to death

Started calling Friday (3-28-08) sting I owe on a payday loan and if I did not pay they was downloading my file into the sytem and I would be arrested in 24-48 hours.  The # called from was 856-831-0640 (NJ) and was told to call back at 949-682-1305 (CA).  You call the 856 # goes to a voice-mail box is full, 949 # a man asnswers saying it is some find of restatution (hope saying it right). They called me tonight on my cell I answered and told them not to call me< I was not giving them anything to send me papers in the mail and hung up.  THen he called me back three more times after that. Keeps telling me Good Luck

Yes the same threats from sone barely English speaking person wanting me or my lawyer to call or as he says constantlly " OH MY GOD" and " May God have mercy on you" And of course " suffening the consequences" is mentioned as well. Why can't this company or person be stopped. I have determined that he lives in Laguna Niquel California.

Yes, I beat them at their own game.  Called back and got the man answering pissed off.  Ask them how the weather is in laguna ....do it from a blocked number. this will piss them off more! horray for the good guys1

A person with a bad accent (Ricky Sharp)sounded like he was from India. He told a co-worker that it was important that I contact him before things get out of hand and I get a court date to appear before the grand jury.

Called stating that an attorney needed to be contacted immediately.

Said if I didn't call an attorney, all she could do was "wish me good luck as the situation unfolds".

She sounds Indian.

I too received a phone call from a very poor English speaking indivudual Asian or Indian). I told the individual they were calling did not live in my home.  Insisted I identify myself, I refused. The individual hung up, I called back and he tried to force me again to identify myself.  Whatever you do DO NOT provide your name.  My assumption is that once you provide your name, the calls will be directed to you.

i was called and told i owed on a payday loan i am to pay now or i will be arrested.they wanted debit,credit or money wire.basically money with no trace.i also have the police researching them too to fid out if it is ligeit.i have  never received any summons or bills or papers about it in the mail.they never gave their company name either.kinda got a good feeling this is a scam.

This foreign sounding man that I could hardly understand kept leaving a voice mail on my cell phone....today he said was the final call!!!!  Thank goodness, because he has been leaving a message for 8 days now!!!
Today was the first day that I could UNDERSTAND the phone number he wanted me to call and when I called, I was told the mailbox could take no more messages.  I hope this was his final call.

Stated if me or my attorney don't return the call today I was going to regret it, and he wish me good luck, making sounds like I was going to be sorry. Called several times on April 9, 2008

These calls are coming from India I believe and appear to be a scam to try to extract money from people.  UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD YOU GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION.  REPORT THEM IMMEDIATELY TO THE F.B.I.  They left a death threat for someone I don't know saying he owed a debt to them.

i was contacted at work. they called the phone in the breakroom of all places just as i was about to eat lunch. needless to say i was scared to death because the man i talked to (sounded indian as well) said that if i didn't pay off the amount i supposedly owe ($1600) that my case will be "downloaded" and i will be arrested after 11:30 on monday. after stating that i do not know where they got all of this info from and telling him that i don't have the money to pay anything right now, he tried to bargain w/me and split it into 3 payments. when i asked that something be faxed to me stating how much i owe and who i owe the money to, he simply said that he could only send me a receipt after i make a payment. so he didn't understand my request, obviously. jail sounds scary to everyone, so of course i got upset, nearly had a damn panic attack at work, chest pains and all, and i went home early because i know i would worry about this all day. i work with patients in a clinic and can't be near tears and panicky all day. these people really suck. i am filing a police report and speaking to an attorney. these people need to be shut down!

Someone by the name of Shawnra continues to call my place of business and said if myself or my attorney did not contact them immediately they would have a warrent for my arrest.  They also said they would keep calling until I returned their phone call.  They have been told I don't work in that office and they were given the correct number to call and they continue to call the main office.

I've received a number of calls from these same people...all calls have been threatening in nature, if I don't pay, my information will be "downloaded", my supervisor, and the commissioner will be notified of my continued refusal to pay and I will be arrested within 24-48 hours.  I am to send the money, $6200, to them by the end of day; this was supposed to be for a loan taken out in 2005 and never repaid because my bank account was closed.  At first, I was extremely frightened, but then realized, that they are attempting to extort money; and after reading all of these other posts, it would seem my assumptions were correct.  I will be notifying the attorney general and will be filing a complaint with the FTC.  I hope everybody else will follow suit so they bozos can be shut down!  Thanks for listening...

I have decided to strike back at these people...if you have ever had a payday loan they will call you.  For 2 years now they have called me.  I am very concerned about people who may not know about these con artists.  PLEASE DO NOT GIVE THEM MONEY INFORMATION OR BELIEVE A WORD THEY ARE SAYING.  IN AMERICA, YOU CAN NOT BE THROWN IN JAIL IF YOU OWE MONEY, THE "RESTISUTION" OFFICE DOES NOT KNOW THIS.  THEY ARE NOT IN THE U.S. THEY ARE IN INDIA...TODAY I DISCOVERED THAT THEY ARE NOT IN PAKISTAN...I WILL CONTINUE TO KEEP YOU POSTED.

They called me at work, which is a state operated facility. Said that I owed them money from a payday loan from December 31, 2005. I had no idea what they were talking about. Said that I could settle for $834. He said his name was Ricky Simmons. He was definitely foreign. Gave me the number 949-682-1305, but called from 856-831-0640. I called the number they called from back & it was just a busy signal. They said that I had committed check fraud and I could be arrested at my work. If they call back, I plan on reporting them to the police, state's attorney, & attorney general.
Also, I found out after they called me that they have called my mother at work(we work at the same place) wanting to talk to me and would not tell her specific info so she hung up on them.
They also told me that they were going to download my file if I didn't give them my cc info. He said he would call back in an hour and it has been an hour & a half now.

I received one of these calls this evening myself.  Person by the name of Larry Owens, who speaks with a strong indian accent, proceeds to tell me that they are downloading criminal charges against my social security number.  When I pressed him for information, he says that I obtained a loan in October 2005 for 750.00 and never made a payment.  He didn't want any money, just that he wanted to make me aware that I would be arrested and that I should get a lawyer.  As the call progressed, he then indicates that he would be willing to work with me - to prevent me from going to jail.  They have a copy of my credit report in front of them and are seeing that I have had many payday loans.  I have, and they have all been paid.  He tried to tell me that I owed them 1684.00 including late fees, legal fees, etc.  When I tried to get information on the loan, he kept saying that the company that the loan was obtained from was  US National.  I have no recollection of this company.  None of the payday loans that I have obtained over the years even came close to 750.00 being deposited.  When I pressed him - he told me that they never received not one payment.  He wants me to believe that a financial institution is in the habit of lending people money and then waiting 2 1/2 years before they start going after them.  He told me that I am not the only one.  How do they stay in business????  I have to admit, the thought of them calling my employer is a tad mortifying but I know that I do not owe this money.

I received a message on my voice mail at work saying it was an important business matter and I needed to call immediately or my attorney would need to call immediately and if I failed to do that legal action could happen.  He also kept saying may god bless you.  The number they left to call back was 949-682-1305.  He had a very strong foriegn accent and was very hard to understand.  Needless to say I will not call back!
