SCAM !! SCAM !! They send you a tenant background checking text message and it's a SCAM !!!

sent phony tenant background screening text. TWICE.

This number sent a text to my cell phone on 12/10/2017.  The text said:
"Hi Elaine, the property manager for the rental we own asked me to send you the rental application link"
There was a link attached, which I didn't open.  Must be a scammer or phishing text.  Beware.  Blocking the number now.  The link looks something like the following, but I can't see the whole thing.
tenantscreeningbackground.com?????    I don't recommend going to that site and I'm not going to click on their link.

This is the text message I had received from the above number: Hi Elaine, the property manager for the rental we own asked me to send you the rental application link https://tenantscreeningbackgroundcheck.com
yes it’s a scam!

I received this this morning and unfortunately clicked on the link.  I deal with Rental clients all the time so thought it might be related to one of my clients.  How can I tell if something wrong with my phone or if I now have a virus?

I’m a Realtor and am helping a renter right now...so I did the same thing you did...clicked on the link.  I don’t know how to tell if they got my info.  Will ask my tech savvy son and post what I find out.
