Continue to call saying urgent I'm gonna be arrested for a payday loan. Already flagged my credit bureau and credit reports. He says he is from attorney generals office and I'f I don't call back "good luck". Saved his voicemail. He has thick accent. Real jerk!

called stating they are from the general attorney office and that I will be arrested for fraud if I dont pay them $500.00 today to solve the matter. He has a heavy accent and very rude when you start to ask questions about the matter. He doesnt have any information except to tell you that he will send you all of the documents in the mail once you pay and if you dont pay the sheriffs will pick you up from your home or job to arrest you for 9 months. He ask that you go to your bank and get the money out and then wire it to a certain location overnight so that he can stop the charges. call your bank and credit bureau to be on the look out.

This is the second time I've gotten a call from this number. I reported it to the local sheriffs department and had them check my name for any warrants. This is a major scam that is praying on elderly people especially. Please do the smart thing contact your local sheriffs department file a police report. Put a fraud alert in your credit report. Call your credit bureaus and request a fraud alert be put on your credit reports. If you've never taken out a payday loan be smart and don't send them ANY money. They will get caught eventually. And I will be in line to press charges!! Real rude man with a thick heavy accent that says he is from the attorney generals office and that he wishes me luck if i don't return the phone call. They are calling from the northern Los Angeles area in California. The invention of smart phones is going to hurt them eventually. May call them back and get them to tell me where to send the money and then give that info to the police.

These PPL just called me and haf me shaking Cuz i can't go to jail for 9 months. They try to tell me I got a loan from cashadvance USA and  I never borrowed from them. He gonna tell me I need 500 dollars cash they wouldn't even take my debit card info. Should of known it was a scam Cuzco no matter what .u  should be able to pay for stuff over the phone. He wanted me to get in my car while he was on the phone. When I told him I couldn't he's like well enjoy your day and the police will be there in a hour. Heavy accent rude as he'll this guy name was George balinski. It's sad what People would do for money.

These idiots have been calling me for the past 2days. Saying there from attorney generals office.  If I don't pay them 1100 going to jail for 9 months for fraud.  I've contacted AG office and reported these numbers, what city there calling from and the guys name George Veloniski.  Total scam!!!! Watch out!! Had heavy accent too! What's this world coming too!

This is a criminal extortion ring operating out of India. ABC News released an investigative report on it last year. The FTC has indicted one of its ringleaders for criminal fraud:

In the meantime, you are going to have to do whatever you can to protect yourself. That includes letting them know they are running a scam and are reporting them to the authorities.

Called this number back after them calling friends of mine and told them I knew they were scamming and noyAG and he became beligerant and said to call the police because they wouldn't catch him anyway.I then received 20 blocked calls in 5 min. Real [***] who give all their people a bad name.

Have been calling a company phone  several times a day using many different names and the caller is very rude and persistant and very harrassing. He has called three times about 5 minutes aprt several times asking for Geraldo who does not work at our company or at our location.

He called my work several times saying he was gonna have me fired, kept calling my cell phone saying i had to pay him $500 today or i was gonna go to jail.. real heavy accent said he was from the attorney generals office in califorina

"I have Jason Smith on the line from the legal department of the US state attorney generals office, he needs you to contact him at 951-223-6774. He says you need to contact him as soon as possible otherwise he has to send an officer to the workplace? should i try to connect you two?" This is the instant message I received from a co-worker. This person called our 800# in attempts to contact me advised the rep not to transfer the call because this is a scam.  I have received numerous v-mail from this person(s).

Just got the call. Thick Indian accent. Wouldn't give me his call back number. The name he was looking for vaguely sounded like mine. He couldn't correctly spell my last name. Said there was legal matters on my SS#. I asked him to give me the last 4 of my SS#... they did not match (I didn't tell him mine of course). When he couldn't spell my name I said that was not me, and of course he wanted to know who i was, and I would not tell him. I am reporting it to the State attorney's office.

TOTAL SCAM...."Attorney General Office" yea right! For starters no one from the Attn. General office will call associates without sending out a formal letter first. 2nd The US Government would not have someone call you that cannot communicate in english! Not to mention calling you on your job harassing you! WOW!!!

same thick accent has been calling my cell and my work for 3 days non-stop saying there is an urgent matter from the AG office and I would be prosecuted. I just answered again and I told him I knew it was a scam and that my husband was a sheriff and he was being recorded. He paused and said mam and repeated his same story. I hung up. he called again right back. I hung up again and he called right back!

This guy he left a message on my cell phone and said his name was Jason Smith with the State Attorney General office and that for me or my attorney of record to call as soon as I receive this message, it was very important that I return this call as matters unfold upon.  he then stated that they have charges coming against me and this matter needs to be taken care of fast, if I don't call back all he can say is he wishes me well as matters are unfolding against me.
I have not called back and will not call back, because I see this is a scam and these people that are doing this to individuals the gorernment needs to crack down on this matter and have these people handled for this, i have filed a complaint the number that they leave for me to call is 951-223-6774, the an Alex Jones calls and he states the same thing, but he leaves a number of 646-543-2328, this is uncalled for distrubing people and trying to scam people like that, I feel that should be able to search these numbers and get where these people are, one of them it shows like homestad, california, all of these calls show california, I feel the telephone company can hold a trace on these calls to have atop on this they callyou four and five times a day, i have been getting these calls since last week almost every day, three and four times a day they even have m place of employment number, this is not right.

He has called 2 times this morning (Jason Smith) has a warrant for my arrest, will be here to arrest me in 30 minutes.  I asked what for he said he didn't know the number he gave my was the Attorney.  He has such a strong accent you can hardly understand him.  He is very mean talking.  I called and reported him to the local police the first time.  They were kind enough to run a check on me just to make sure someone was not using my idenity and nothing showed up on my record.  I told him to come on over to arrest me.  These calls were placed to my place of work and he was going to arrest employer too.  HOW CAN THIS PERSON BE STOPPED.  1-915-223-6774!!!

Got a message from this guy name Peter Richardson. Guy called me and said that i owe $1200 and that if i dont pay them back I will placed in jail for months. Called the actual company and they are putting a stop to everything. called once and hasnt called since. I have his voicemail saved. and also reported it to FTC.gov if anything happens to you guys i would report it to the FTC. Plus the Lady over the phone said that if they sound like if the are from the middle east then its an automatic scam. sorry that sounds bad but thats how she explained it to me.

CALLED ME ALL WEEK ALL DAY CLAIMING I OWED THEM MONEY AND THAT I HAD CHARGES FILED AGAINST ME AND MY SSN CALLED HIM BACK AND HE CLAIMED THAT I HAD AN HOUR TO PAY 700 OR THEY WOULD SEND SHERIFFS OUT TO ARREST ME EITHER AT WORK OR HOME. I IMMEDIATELY WENT TO THE POLICE STATION AND TURNS OUT TO BE A SCAM FROM A GROUP OF INDIANS . IRONICALLY THEY HAVE SUCH A HEAVY ACCENT AND USE THE MOST AMERICANS NAME LIKE JASON SMITH ETC. WHEN I WAS AT THE LAPD FILING A REPORT THEY HAPPENED TO CALL I WENT ALONG WITH THE FLOW AND TOLD THEM I HAD THE MONEY . HE TOLD ME TO GET IN MY CAR AND DRIVE TO MY NEAREST WALGREENS BUT TO NOT HANG UP THAT ONCE I ARRIVED TO WALGREENS HE WOULD GIVE ME FURTHER INSTRUCTION. KIND OF WEIRD FOR IT TO BE A STATE ATTORNEY RIGHT ? WHEN THE OFFICER TOOK CONTROL OF THE PHONE HE KEPT QUESTIONING THEM AND THEY WOULD JUST FREEZE AND TRANSFER THE PHONE AROUND. THEY HAVE CALLED MY JOB SOOOOO MANY TIMES AND CLAIMED TO GET ME FIRED. AND STATE I AM AN ACCUSED LADY. IF THIS HAPPENS TO YOU PUT A FRAUD ALERT ON YOUR CREDIT BURREU RIGHT AWAY IT WILL PROTECT YOU SINCE THEY HAVE YOUR SSN . ALSO FILA A CLAIM WITH IC3.GOV THEY INVESTIGATE THESE PEOPLE AND ARE OUT LOOKING FOR THEM!!!!
