I called the number back and received the following message:  "You have reached the marketing department.  Please press 1 if you would like to be put on our do not call list."  No other options were given.  Telemarketer for sure.  Called ID read Temecula

Answered the call. Young lady said she was calling on behalf of our county to assist with using energy more efficiently. I asked if it was solar panels. She said no. Explained we could upgrade appliances, windows, insulation, etc., at little to no cost. Told her I really wasn't interested. She was very friendly and thankful for me taking her call and said she would have our number removed from the list.

Marketeer for energy efficiency.  I wish I would get a hundred more of these calls each week because I have nothing better to do than answer all of these calls.  So frustrating!  I don't understand why the FTC can't do anything about these.

I receive up to 4 calls a day from this number. Today I answered and spoke to "Robert" who said he was with Power Star and wanted to talk about the PACE program. PACE LOANS (HERO LOANS) are a bad loan product. This loan has no minimum disclosures, no underwriting of the borrower, no proof that the homeowner has the ability to repay, no three day right to rescind, no interest rate or fee caps, and no kickback prohibitions.

HUD announced yesterday that FHA will begin insuring mortgages on certain properties with PACE loans. PACE loans will be placed in a senior position to the FHA mortgage. This places homeowners at risk. PACE is a tax lien against your property. Although they sell it as a loan with no down payment and no monthly payments, you pay an additional amount with your taxes that is applied to that loan. Bravo PennyG. I just called that number and was transferred to the marketing dept, and wola I was placed on DNC list. So tired of all these telemarketings calls.

Here's hoping they actaully do put your number on their internal DNC list. Unfortunately a lot of times callers such as this don't respect that request (even when they claim to have a list) and instead all you're doing is verifying a working phone number which quite often gets sold or passed on to other callers.
