Survey Sampling International has a long history on this site of being an annoyance to people.
Not surprised that they changed their name; reports here indicated that they would show "SSI" in their Caller ID and people would assume it was a scam connected to Social Security.
As a survey company, they are exempt from screening numbers against the National Do Not Call list, but are required to honor requests form numbers to be placed on their internal Do Not Call list. (Some reports here indicate that they are not good at following that requirement.)
