Asked to talk to the Owner of the company.  When I asked if I could help, he insisted on talking to the owner.  He then asked for the owner's name so he knew who to ask to for when he called back.  He would tell me what his call was regarding.

Number keeps calling my house.

Answered and they said they were from the firefighters fundraiser looking for donations.  I said sure I would be glad to help out.  They will send a package in the mail with a donation envelope.   We will see if it comes.  I will also check more into it before donating if I decide too.

Very likely a  phising call:  Received call asking if I am the owner of business, calling did not identify themselves.  Very cagey when asked questions about who they were and why they were calling.  Eventually stated they were from "Community Welfare Services" and continued to ask for owner.  When I did not give any info and stated that he likely had some wrong information, he very quickly hung up.

When I answered the call with our company name, the caller asked if this was the (company) at this address - which he gave correctly.  Then asked if I was the owner of the company.  When I said no, the onwer would be in later, he said he'd call back.  Very imperious voice.  Didn't call back.

They keep calling my house, but then don't answer when I pick up.

Received a call from 562-0244 today, call came up as being from "unknown caller".  Left no message.  I did not answer but went straight to Google. I don't appreciate receiving these calls.  How DO they get our information, especially when I am on the "Do not call" list?   I find it interesting that I received this call about 10 minutes after I received one from "Police Protection", another phishing / scam call.
I resisted getting Caller ID for a long time.  Now, I wouldn't do without it!!  I consider it my personal assistant / call screener / "gatekeeper".

It is Firefighters Charity wanting donations

If it is the firefighters charity looking for donations they are a scam! I found out about these frauds 15 plus years ago. Very little money actually goes to firefighters, so do NOT donate to these people!!!

Calls and hangs up once machine kicks in.  A Mnpls, MN number.

I called this number back and got a recorded message.  It is for Community Welfare Services and they call to raise money for fire departments, police departments, etc.  Many of those kind of 'charities' are actually scams.  I always tell them that if I want to donate to police and fire, I contact the local department directly.  

The area code covers the south and west suburbs of the Minneapolis, MN area.

Received a call from this number today that said "out of area" on my caller ID.  I live in South Minneapolis so how can a 952 number be "out of area" when I get calls from other area codes in out state MN that are identified?  They said they were a firefighter's fund raiser so I told them I got a call from them yesterday.  They said the call I got yesterday must have been from somebody else, some national firefighters fundraiser campaign while they were local.  I told him I couldn't afford to give to both but he continued with his sales pitch looking for money from me anyway.  I called the number back and got an automated service saying it was "Community Welfare Services".  Even if legit, which I doubt, I do not like people who ignore what I tell them and continue giving me their spiel as though I and what I already told them isn't worthy of their respect.  My number is also on the national "Do Not Call" registry and I have no respect for any organization that does not abide by the "Do Not Call" registry and the obvious wishes of those who register their number(s) with the "Do Not Call" registry.

Called my unpublished number twice in the same minute.  Left no message on voicemail.
