I just got email from PAYPAL and was charged of $79.99 by DigitalRiver for DRI*Smith Micro which I didn't placed at all. I don't know how they can get in like that, but it is really scary.. because they even set it as an automatic payment in my account pay list. And worse of all, PayPal supports that unauthorized payment!! How can they call that a secured online deposit box. THIS NEEDS TO BE PREVENTED! Perhaps we need to call a police?!

I get those PHISHING EMAILS all the time claiming I purchased something I didn't purchase. And I rarely use my Paypal account.  Paypal always responds with its a PHISHING email


Also - remove any credit/debit card information from your paypal account records. Only enter it when you are actually using your account.  They cannot charge you if there is no credit or debit card info in your account.

The same thing happened to me in April 2010. I was charged $49.99 on my credit card.  I rang the bank and had my credit card cancelled and a new one issued.  This is the only thing to do to stop further charges.
I have read this forum and will endeavour to ring CA Vet for an answer. If they eventually decide to refund me with the $49.99, I am reluctant to issue my new credit card number to them.   I'll have to find another way of being reimbursed...perhaps Pay Pal (if I get reimbursed at all).  Seems that some people have had some luck with having their funds returned.  That is so good.
Dri*CA Software are a problem or they have a scam linked to them and you would think that they would sort this huge problem out.  All the computer companies using Dri*CA as their e commerce collections are at risk of going broke.

I  havn't had calls from this company but they have been taking money out of an account I don't use much for the last two years. Going to put a stop to it now and get the fraud department from the bank involved as well.

I HAVE TRIED TO CALL 877-694-8509 BUT IT SAID NEITHER THE NUMBER HAS BEEN DISCONNECTED OR NO LONGER IN SERVICE. NOW WHAT DO I DO?

I am on Social Security Disability and needed to get an antivirus program from Norton by Symantec but recently when i got my bank statement I saw the companies name as being that of Software Norton.com/NS CA. I looked on my PC for Norton Virus download and nothing was found' I was charged $48.34 AND STILL DO NOT HAVE AntiVIRUS PROTECTION.

I have not been called from this company Digital River, to my knowlege.

JUST OPENED MY MAIL.....HAD 3 CHARGES FROM NORTON.COM/NS CA on my credit card statement.....ALL IT SAID WAS NORTON SOFTWARE...NO PHONE NUMBER...NO CITY...JUST WHAT I STATED ABOVE.  CHANGED MY CARD IMMEDIATELY.  WAS NOT EVEN IN MY COUNTRY WHEN THOSE CHARGES WENT THROUGH....HOW IS IT THAT THESE CAN NOT BE TRACED AS I SEE MANY OTHERS ARE GETTING RIPPED OFF ALSO?  WE WILL HAVE TO PAY THE BILL. NO PHONE CALLS OR PURHASES WERE MADE OF ANY KIND...SO HOW DID THEY GET MY CARD...AS I SAID...I AM FROM CANADA...THOSE TRANSACTIONS WENT THROUGH WHEN I WAS IN THE STATES.

I had two charges one month that said the exact same thing on my credit card statement, and I just received another bill yesterday with another charge saying the same.  I don't even use this card.  Had it cancelled today also, and have to file a dispute for the transactions.

I had the same thing happen to me...$49.99. I called the number and it said it was out of service.

I recommend filing a fraud dispute with your bank or CC holder and also filing reports with the FTC & CFB..

Got my c/c statement 2day, 7/5/16 & found this 49.99 charge on it from a company I have never heard of. Tried calling but always get a busy signal. Guess will have to call visa now to report it & probably am out my 49.99 & hope this is not an auto renewal as some have said it is. How do you stop that?

I called and got my money back  $69.99,  crappie anti -virus  DRI Kaspersky lab,I ordered last year and had more issues ever sense .

my credit card was charged $49,99......on june 11-2017...at 4:04 in the morning.......had to cancel the credit card.....will take up to 2 months to return thr mony to new card.......comp name was DRI-AVAST...which I did not order....how can these fraudulent...companies keep getting away with stealing peoples hard earned money..??? what a bigheadache...how can we shut these places down??
