Gary James who says he is a TV producer- for show eco planet... we called back and he just answered his telephone- no respectable producer answers his own phone don't they usually have a secretary or a legit company on the caller ID? Comes up as unknown the number that it is also linked to is 561-826-0188 but Gary gives you the 954 #... sounds like a sales scheme to me.

You should go to my site www.ecoplanettv.com
Companies like Honda would not come on a show that is a scam.
Don't just post something ignorantly on the Internet!
    It makes you look foolish.

Yep, they want $30,000 to film a segment for TV.  Sure is a scam.  They call us every few months.

If you ever get a call from a TV production company from the 561 or 954 area codes, immediately be skeptical.

In my previous marketing position with a fitness equipment company, these guys called at least every quarter for seven years.  Looking for "experts" and companies with a story that they might consider for the show.  Just got my first at my new company.

What it takes to get on these shows -- which no one watches -- is a $25K - $30K payment to "cover production costs."  They also prey on CEO's, getting them all fired up and forcing the PR and marketing folks to participate.  It's just an outbound call center with telemarketers posing as producers, with an end result that you pay big for little play.

I just got an email from "Gary James" for a personal assistant job, I was applying for.

Here is the email he/she used:  trendismoonlights400@coolsite.net

Be wary.  This person wanted all of my personal information and then when I didn't give it - they gave me a long list of "Things" to do -- telling me that I would be compensated as well as bonus' but I needed to make some purchases and do some shipping for "Gary James" FRAUD - before he arrived into LA.

After I got the "trial period" letter - I then received a two line letter from "Gary James" (FRAUD) at trendismoonlights400@coolsite.net ...  "I need your mailing address asap!  Thank you, Gary".

Well - at that point I posted this -- pass it on.

    Best,
    Chille

    Rather not say
This person has given up TV production and is now preying on special needs families, promising them an iPad if they jump through his million hoops.  He asks for money, "awards" iPads and then says it won't ship for 6 weeks.  NOW he has these poor desperate families buying apps that will be awarded to "someone in the community" which right now numbers about 12,000 likes on facebook.  He is "in the process" of starting a non-profit.  The paperwork has supposedly been filed with the state of Connecticut, but now he is asking for donations to pay the $850 filing with the IRS.  This is from a man that lives in a $700,000 house.  He has multiple businesses listed under his home address 1 Evergreen Lane in Oxford, CT.  Personally, I would run like mad away from anything this shyster said.

Gee whiz, you really think talking to people like that makes you look professional?  I've decided you've got some sort of really BAD psychological disorder because you are just disgusting.  Should I tell these nice people about your video,  you know...the one you "personally" produced and then dared people to post?

There has been a scam called the "puff sheet racket" where business people are contacted by scammers representing a posh-sounding journal, who will feature an interview and article about them and/or their business, but they need to buy several issues of the magazine...which is poorly printed and not distributed as widely as the scammers claim.

This is basically the same scheme, substituting a TV show for the magazine.
