the number calls every day...i answer..and it is dead air

Asked my daughter for me by name, but when I came to the phone, no one was there.

I get calls from this number sometimes several times a day and they do not leave a message.  Anyone know who this is?

Claimed to have information related to a settlement about to be levied against me.  I have never received any legal paperwork or been served with any court documents.  This is a common and illegal tactic used by a number of collection agencies.  Caller claimed to be from Cardinal Recovery.  Here's what my search turned up:

They misrepresent their identity..... have been reported using obscene languate...... using threats.....

Best thing to do is get a lawyer and file a law suite against them. Keep records of each call, time of call, length of call, ask for names. And if the law in your state supports this record the call. In some states it is legal as long as one party knows the conversation is being recorded, again check with state laws.

And fight back with a lawyer, get original copies of documents just because they say its yours does not mean it is yours fraud happens to often.

A women just called me from this number and was completely out of control. She called me a liar and told me she was going to notify my employer of my debts. What I thought was odd is that she knew I have 12k left on my car payment and what I pay monthly for that bill,which is in good standing. She was trying to get me to pay 700$ for a cell phone bill she claims I owe, I know I do not owe this. When I asked for proof that I owed this she could not provide me with anything. I just looked up my credit report and I see nothing about what she is talking about. I am a little worried, is this a scam and can she really call my employer?

They just called me from this number saying i owed 900 dollars for a cell phone bill I never had I told her that I was not going to pay it and then she told me that she was going to connect me to her superviser and he went all crazy and hung up on me I knew it was a scam they name in the caller ID was A Youash wtf? Yes they are a scam!

They are a scam beware!
