Has anyone else got a call from this company saying to call back Nancy and she gives a case number. When I called her back she had the last four of my social and said that back in 2008 I wrote a check to a pay day loan company Advance America and that it never went through and that I owed over $5000 now with fees, and that they were filing it with court to have me arrested on two felony's. Then I asked her to email me information and never got anything. She said that she might be able to get them to let me pay today but i would have to talk to Amanda. I told her I couldn't pay today and she said well good luck getting arrested and hung up on me. I am worried and want to know if this is something legitimate.

Ive gotten 2 calls one from nacy and another from a diffrent person im looking into this think its a scamand i will post more when i find out more

Got a call from "Nancy Bradley" threatening felony debt collection charges against me.
Total scam, even if I did supposedly owe them money from a nonexsistant loan I defaulted on, in my state failure to payback a loan is a civil matter and poses no criminal charges. Stupid fraudsters.
These are annoying calls and they need to be stopped.

DO NOT WORRY!  THEY ARE a HUGE scam.  My boyfriend is a lawyer and did a search on them and they are not a "real" business nor can they or would they call and threaten people like this.  It's a total scam!

Do not give these people any information at all. I was left several nasty voicemails, stating I wrote a bad check in 2008 and if I did not pay good luck and I would receive felony charges and go to jail. She had the last four of my ssi and some phony case number. I was told to contact nancy Bradley , when I called back they wouldn't offer any information, no check number, no name of the company I had written this so called check to. Nothing. She hung up on me 4 times without offering anything at all. I called back and then some woman called Vanessa answered, repeating verbatim what this nancy claimed, I told her I was recording the call and she hung up. I then called my banks and they show no record of any bad checks. After researching for a few hours I found this sight and learned this company is nothing more then a scam, do not offer any information to these people at all, please. They are a huge scam. Report them and tell them their calls are being traced.

It's a shame that in america you people think that you can write bad check an get away with it. Rather it be  to a payday loan company or not, this is why the economy is so bad because of people like you. It is against the law to write bad checks. You know that you never returned to pick the check up pay the people an stop looking for excuses. The bible states pay you debts an debtors, if you do this you may can get yourself out of poverty to where you don't have to get payday loans. They are here to help you, not for you to rip them off.

Way to not even notice that people DIDN'T actually have a debt that required collecting in these responses.

There are hundreds of companies out there that cash in of people being scared by these tactics and doing whatever they can to preserve their credit scores, rather than doing the research and fighting back.

This happened to me once, a company claimed I owed rent for not properly giving notice, even though I paid rent for a full 3 months after providing my notice (which, by the way, is 2 months longer than legally required where I live).

Don't chasten people as if they're all scum. Realize there's some shady collection companies out there.

I to just got a threatening message from Nancy Bradley, on my voicemail, which I am taking to an attorney to see what can be done to stop this. I recently started getting several blocked calls coming in 7 days a week, all hours of the day & no message left. I never answer blocked calls or unknown #'s & I am having my phone company trace these so I can press harassment charges. Get a real job, Nancy u evil crook, ur not the only person who can find people

I forgot to mention....its. my minor daughters phone & we don't even have a checking account in our family for 5 yrs. I called & informed them of this, she went psycho, I hung up & told her don't call again & she called back screaming psycho again..I'm going to police station to press charhrd

Same thing as the others except on their 5th or 6th call i told them i would send them a payment in the amount of "f-off". never heard from them again.....
