Calls, but no message left

My answering machine picked up before I could answer the call and so the system  disconnected.   Called the number back and it was a Telemarketing Firm.  Computer answered and I pressed 1 for them not to call again.   But the problem is I 'm on both Federal and State do not call lists.

i got a call from this number. it rang once before i picked it up. there was no one on the line. no message.

I picked up after it rang a couple of times.  NO ONE there.
I called # back and pressed 1 to get on their Do Not Call list.

This is at LEAST the 3rd call ... a recording that says something to the effect that this is your last chance to stop over-paying interest on your credit card account ... We've been getting the same calls on both of our land lines - both are on state and federal "no call" lists. We have a terminally ill person in our home. We hate these calls.

I've requested several times to be taken off their list. I think the only thing that did was let them know they had a good number.   Bast@@ds!!!!!!!

Again, another call about reducing my credit card payments. They also state they've sent me many messages about it and that it my last chance to benefit from it. So this is my 100th last chance I guess.
A woman answered and saying she is told that I'm interested in benefiting from the offer.  I tell her that they should probably quit calling me - and when I tried to talk a little more with "Friendly(their words)" operator she hung up. A real operator at a REAL business wouldn't hang up.  SCAM SCAM SCAM!!!

Robo dialer calls random numbers regardless of what list you are on.  Do not answer the calls, do not press 1 or anything else they might direct you to do.  IF you do then you are identifying that they reached a real working number and will sell it to other scam artists.  They call using various numbers all which are fake.

It is all well and good to say not to answer, but if you have (and most do) voice mail, they know it's a real working number anyway.  I simply pick up and hang up immediately.  this seems to work better than allowing voice mail to pick it up.

Very easy fix, got a call from this number this morning and when the friendly operator answered he got my friendly whistle in his ear, bet they dont call again.

These jerks call every couple of weeks.  Today was my fourth or fifth "last chance to reduce credit card interest rates".

I've gotten to the point where I just push "1" to speak to a representative, and then set the phone down on the table and continue on with whatever I was doing before it rang.  To heck with these people, I hope they get annoyed listening to dead air!

I am getting regular calls from this number.  No ID, no message.  I don't answer, of course.  It's just annoying...

Where do you turn these bull [***] people into?  I am sick of these call's.  They are all lier's and I hate it.  They probably started this web page.

It's 2:40 PM. and so far, I've had two calls from these crooks. They keep changing their number because people block the first, second, third, etc,etc,etc numbers. Why won't they leave me alone?

Frequent calls from this number and I have spoken with a person and asked to be removed from their call list but they disconnect without responding - remove my number from the list - NOW

Caller ID shows 971-373-2998 and Portland OR.  Answered the phone and recorded message said something about reducing my credit card payments. Like Yeah Right, they said they've sent me many notice by mail and phone.  Pressed 1 and the woman said I understand you are interested in reducing your credit card debt.  I asked her the name of the company offering this service and she hung up on me....Don't get ripped off by these jerks!

This number called, something about reducing credit card payments but you must owe more than $3,000.

Pressed the number to speak to a rep, asked to be removed, and immediately hung up on.

Thank you for your post.  This number has called repeatedly and never left a message, so I just searched the number.  I saw your post and followed suit, pressing 1 for them not to call back.  I also am on both the Federal and State "do not call" lists.

I received several (5 or more) calls from this number advising me that they could lower the interest rate on my credit card and since I had not responded, this would be my LAST CHANCE. I answered each time, pressed #1 to speak to a "friendly" customer service representative and requested they remove my number from their calling list. Each time, they hung up in my ear. Then yesterday (5/4/12) when they called yet again, I pressed #1 and I got a "friendly" customer service representative named Laura. When I told her I wasn't interested and told her I had requested more than once that they remove my number from their calling list, she told me to shut up. I then advised her that I had recorded their telephone number and would be reporting them to the Consumer Protection Bureau at the Federal Trade Commission and I hung up on her!

These people are relentless. All they want is your credit card information. Please know that they are NOT legitimate.

I'm getting calls from this number quite often.  I finally looked up the number on 800notes and was directed to this page.  I either don't answer the calls or answer and then hang up right away.  I wish there was some way to fight back and get these people investigated. I'm worried about the people that really do need help and succumb to their pitch :(
