Called at 8:40 pm, which is already a red flag.  Caller ID indicated that caller was from Mr. Cooper Loans and the caller said as much, thanked me for being a customer (I am) and then went into a sales pitch script saying I could get a loan for home improvement, etc and that they needed my address to see if I qualify.   Now they know my address, so I don’t know why they’d need to ask me.  The whole thing seemed shady so I said I wasn’t interested and the person thanked me and gave me an 800 number to call if I change my mind and hung up.

It’s possible it was Mr. Cooper, but calling at 8:40 pm with a sales pitch out of the blue is out of character for them.  Either it was a scam or a telemarketing call.  Either way it was unwanted.

11.5.19 @ 6:36 PM-- Caller ID displayed: "Mr Cooper Loans" (972-316-5343)-- SCAMMER using a spoofed name and number.  (If it were actually a legit. call from "Mr. Cooper", it would most likely be from a toll-free (some type of "800") number; they would probably call during regular business hours (9A-5P); and would leave a message if the call was not answered by a live person, since NOT leaving a message is very unprofessional!).  So, DON'T answer!!!

I called the number back, they called me this afternoon, It is Mr. Cooper. They were wanting me to refi and take out some equity for home improvement. It is Legit.

This is mortgage company, I am their client so I know it’s a light  company but probably try to sell you something, they call me to remind payment which we requested for deferments
