Supposedly from Tax Relief Advocates - I have no tax debt.  Then tried to tell me that the tax relief program extended to other debt, and gave vague and shady information.

Might not be your bill, as it is not uncommon for notification software to get the wrong number to contact.
The domain of  https://patm.sg is a Bitly ShortURL used by the notification system for
    athenahealth.com
The ShortURL with a "token" key will redirect here:
    https://payment.patient.athenahealth.com/notification/?token=

You know that you don't owe a doctor bill because you haven't been to the doctor or the ER or the hospital or you think that you paid the hospital bill and that it covered everything?

Yes I know it's from athenahealth, but I looked on my portal and I do not owe anything. I go to this doctor once a month and they would tell me if I owed them.

If you knew, why are you here posting "it's a scam", instead of contacting them and straightening things out?? Who are you trying to convince they are scamming you by posting about a personal dispute or miscommunication to the wrong person?

Hey, you are the one who decided to come here and publicly post about it. Of course you didn't know until after they texted you, but you obviously knew before coming to post about it. I mean, like who would rush off to post about something like that without first checking, right?
You wanted others to believe it's a scam, which is misleading.

Received a text which mentioned my doctor's practice, saying I owed for a visit. I went directly to their site and logged in through the portal and, yes, I did owe for a tele med visit.

It is a scam. I've gotten messages from the same number twice this month. I called my Dr.  the 1st time, to confirm I owed nothing, which I did owe nothing. Because its a scam.

It's possible you got a text from a scammer impersonating them, I wouldn't know without looking at the link sent, which was how I was able to see that other person got a text meant for someone else from the real Athena Health and that it wasn't a scam for that person.

It's a scam.  I own an auditing company and have backtracked the URL to a scam operation out of New Jersey that purchases mass contact info and links phone numbers to email addresses and sends duplicate messages to both the primary email and phone number of contacts.  We have established that by varying the middle initial of a full name and varying a single letter of email addresses tied to a single phone number in 15 different instances, and 6 of those names and related email addresses were hit with the same message.

If all those messages had the same shortURL domain as I addressed back in March, then I would have to say you are not very good at back tracking, because you can simply click the link in my old post and it will still take you to athenahealth.com.
If you are talking about a different url/domain that does trace to a scammer, then it is not the same thing I discussed with that person back in March and don't see why you are trying to convince me about something unrelated to what I posted, as I never said scammers couldn't impersonate them.

    Quote:
    I own an auditing company
I have doubts about that since comprehension is a vital tool to be an auditor and you don't seem to comprehend the discussion I had back in March.

Do you work for them?  You're very persistent in trying to defend them.  Got a text from them from Saint Thompson medical group.  Problem is, there IS no Saint Thompson medical group.  There's a Saint Thomas medical group and there's a Thompson medical group, in AZ which is on the other side of the country from me and a private practice.  It's those types of mistakes that are clear signs of a scam.
