Natalia I would have laughed right in their face. Like who calls and says the police are going to be there in 5 minutes? Yeah please do call me and announce that I'm going to be arrested, like the police work that way. These are clearly people from another country who don't understand how our system works thank God for that. Criminals always over play their hand.

I didn't answer, but i have dealt with the IRS.  THE IRS DOES NOT CALL, they will send you a certified letter if they have an issue with you.  ANY CALLS FROM THE IRS, ARE A SCAM.  The IRS does not call the police on you, they will garnish you wages if they have an issue with you.  SCAM SCAM SCAM!

I got a call saying the IRS is going to sue me.  Well first of all they had better notify me by mail and not just a [***] phone call!!!   I don't owe any back taxes.  I block the number!!!!

we have been getting the same calls

He called me this month. Had info on a debt I actually owe. Wouldn't give me an address to send bank checks to. Said checks are outdated and the only way he would settle my debt was with my direct banking information right then and there, which I refused. I told him I'm broke until taxes, because my son has a chronic illness then he asked when I filed my taxes and how much I was recieving, which I didn't answer. Said I could be sued. I told him he was mean, because he was, and he freaked out more. I haven't gotten any prior notice that my debt went to collections, no phone number on voicemail when it was recieved and didnt idntify himself as a debt collector in the voicemail, but did quickly when I called saying he was with "American" something. I repeat...a really sick kid...this guy is a miserable excuse for a person, and unprofessional at best even if he was a real collector, which I am sure he is NOT
