I've been having this same issue recently and it's becoming harassing even at my place of employment. Be aware that this is a scam and do not give them any information. I had this same thing happen in 2015 to try to scare me into paying something that was well past the statute of limitations.

Received a call today from 18004431058, left a voice mail saying that they were some Melanie or melody (not sure) swartz... Saying they are a certified processor.... Said I have complaints against me in my state, and they are gonna serve me papers either at home or at my workplace and I needed to call this 855 number for more information..... Had my bf call the number... He told them he was an attorney.... They answered the phone as "DLS" but wouldn't tell him what DLS stands for. And hung up.

This is a huge scam! I have received calls from Donald Johnson repeatedly with the same scenario. He calls my cell phone, my work number, my fiancees cell phone, my parents, my brother, my daughter, my FORMER mother-in-law. Always threatens to appear to serve me legal documents at my home, office and/or my employer's payroll department. He has even stated that he was "in my home yesterday and didn't see anyone". I have saved all of the voicemails left and intend to inform the police. He leaves a toll free number to call back on. (Please note that 844, 855, 866, 877, 888 and 800 area codes are all toll-free numbers. A toll-free number is always directed to a local number SOMEWHERE. It can ring to someone's cell phone anywhere in the world.) It could even be a google number. 100000% SCAM!!
Got a call today from some woman who claimed to be contacting me in attempt to reach someone else, specifically my ex-girlfriend whom I have not seen or heard from in several years. She said it was "24 hour notice" to contact them or the pending legal action (whatever that is) would proceed in her absence. Of course I assumed this might be some kind of scam however I had no experience with this so what did I know. Also, I thought it highly strange that I would be contacted as a "potential contact" for her. I was provided an 866 number and a case file #. I did call the number and someone picked up right away from some legal office. She was polite and sounded professional. She asked for the "case number" and said the call came from a process server but that I should just disregard it if I had no contact with my ex. I reached out to my ex and filled her in, she responded that it was a scam and to ignore it. I don't disagree with her but I don't understand why a scammer would bother with me if they were trying to get to her? I mean what's the game here? BTW, these people were all Americans, no Indian accents.
Process server extortion scam. There’s a lot of complaints about this phone number. Please block this phone number. Don’t answer. Never give out any personal information over the phone. Always check your credit reports every year.

I received a call from a blocked number.. a woman called saying there from brooke legal courier service. They knew my full name birthday address and last of my social. They said they came to my address to give me papers to sign and I wasn't located . They gave me a number to call 1-833-947-3246.. They said of I don't call back they'll file it as non-compliance and non-consent.. I wasn't home and it made me nervous..
I called the number and I couldn't really hear them. lots of noise in the back around. They wouldn't tell me what the legal matter was until I would confirm my social. So there like is your last four of your ####. I had to give them a file number they left too. so they but me on hold... They came back and said I had to go to court for a old debt. From 15 plus years ago there like you made some payments .. so I hung up. Oh right my friend call so we could get the name of the law firm they said Callahan law..
I fell for this. I'm a recent widow, they were looking for my husband to serve. I called back and they told me my property would have a lean placed on it by the court so my best option was to settle and I foolishly paid them 2500. I am working with my bank to get the money back now, THESE PEOPLE ARE HEARTLESS. The fake name was "Eisley Law LLC" and the contact was Michael Smith.
