Fake Spectrum 50% discount PHISHING SCAM

Posting a link to a recent article that I found while investigating the cell vm message I received.

Cell vm:
“ Hi there, this voicemail is from Spectrum.  We understand things get busy, but your 50% discount on monthly bill is important.  We're here to help you keep it.  Whenever you can, please call back on the number showing on your caller ID so we can make sure you continue to save.  Thank you.”

Did you also post this to the number shown on your caller ID?   This website was designed to function based on phone numbers.

225-524-8570 is the number used to contact the OP. Might be spoofed IMHO.

Might be worth posting in 800notes as well, but anyone doing a web search should find the warning.

If they're asking the victim to call back the number shown on their caller ID, I doubt it's spoofed, or it wouldn't connect them with the criminals.
