SCAM: Junk text claims you've won $1000 Best Buy gift card

Yes I got suspicious text too... from my "entry last month".... have never been in Best Buy. Wyoming Number (307) 213-0591 (winning code 3333 to claim free $1000 BestBuy Giftcard). DO NOT like spams and scams coming thru as texts!!!! what can we do?

I got the same text from 1-240-338-7732 saying $1000 best buy card. [***]. I love people that ffed off the misery of others.

Report these phone numbers to the FCC to stop them!

I also got a similar text saying I've been selected for Wal-Mart $1000 Reward to use at any location... the number on mine was (949) 280-0605 Hey- if it was actually legit maybe I'd get myself a new computer & phone, in case this and BestBuy texts screw mine up!

I got the same text... I messed around with it online  and then I left it unfinished (In other words I input some of personal info). I had a feeling that it was a scam due to the site leads me to the links where you "HAVE" to order first like some magazines before you can proceed...It was a long process too.

Anyway, my big mistake was I left my cell number and my home address online. Following morning got a call from some guy name Erick and according to him it was the all major credit cards promo like visa and master card etc.the reason I got the *You just won $1000 best buy gift card" message from my iphone. And no way it was a "SCAM". Yeah right!

They are persistent to make you believe that it was not a scam, which I fell for it and make another big mistake. I, for some reason listened and fell for this big trap, maybe my morning that day was way too beautiful to think any negative ideas...

I ended up giving my atm # and expected to be charged for $29.90 for 5 magazines that will be shipped to me 60-90 days from the day  I closed the deal with a company name "Southwest Periodical Services" which I believe got something to do with the text that was being sent to everyone.

I noticed that after I input all my info. on this trap I get all kinds of different junk mail on my email.

I decided to cancel right away and call the number they provided me, good thing someone answered the phone.

Again, they will do anything for you not to cancel the deal, they will even lie to you that you are hooked up for 5 years and will continue receiving bills even if you don't get any magazines... I got fired up and demand to "CANCEL" it until I got a ref cancellation# and the woman I was talking to finally gave up.

Let this be a lesson for all of you. It was a big lesson for me...
This was my first time messing around with fools who will do everything to fool you around and steal your identity.

I called equifax to watch my ID (credit) right away which this will cost me $14.95 a month. This is the damage amount that cost me every month now because of my big stupid mistakes... END OF STORY...

Also received one today 05-02-12 number was 440-541-3457...$1000.00 gift card. Scam all the way, thanks to all for the heads up.

I received this text, and was stupid enough to think it was legit.  Now my inbox if full of crap.  Thank you Best Buy:(  I'm cutting up my Best Buy card now!
