Bad Check scaming

I have had relatives contacted saying they were looking for me for bad checks, I have never written a bad check I know people who gets the same calls, saying they are going to be arrested or their checks guarnished or lawsuit or drivers lic suspended, come to find out they are just trying to get a credit card number to pay for the checks that do not exist, they are in INDIA ,all have a accent and a 877 or other numbers to call back using case numbers this needs to stop

Complain to your congressman--seriously.    There has been an epidemic of Indian call centers calling into the US attempting about any scheme imaginable to con people into sending them money via Green Dot, Western Union, etc.   Local, even federal law enforcement can do nothing because the callers are located in India.   The Indian government simply isn't going to do anything without pressure--and possibly a few threats-- from the US government.    Email your congressman, explain your experience and demand the government take steps to prevent further scams by Indian call centers.
