Should you return- Please post the phone number that you were contacted with to help others. Names, address' & phone numbers always help.
The first clue in your scam was 'Western Union'. If you go to their web site it clearly states you are NEVER to use their service for an internet purchase, or to send money where you do not personally know the receiver of the money. You are sending CASH. Untraceable CASH.

http://www.howtogeek.com/108205/htg-explains- ... n-email-header/When you are contacted by email, this will help as well. It will show you how to read the IP address' in emails. Yes, they can be faked, but should they point to Asia, or Africa when you're dealing with Australia, it's a scam.
